Hi everyone, I'm new here so apologies if this issue has been discussed before but I'm finding the site very slow to navigate so am jumping straight in.
I'm looking for advice on atomisers for 100% VG use. I am struggling with gurgling, leaking or just not getting the vape through & ending up with a hot battery & atomiser. I do the blow down the mouthpiece thing, wiping the the battery, atomiser & mouth piece with a tissue. I use a cocktail stick to prevent juice entering on filling. My atomisers just steam up & produce a lot of condensation or is it juice filling the mouthpiece. I have accumulated 5 batteries, 2 variable to try & solve the issue. I've used ce4 & ce5 atomisers & a kanger T3 & T4 so far. The kangers seem to cook the juice so do the ce5 & tastes bad. The juice I'm using is a VG with distilled water. Does anyone here use VG successfully. If so what battery, atomisers & juice do you use. Many thanks. Sometimes I can get it going well, but as soon as I refill I go through the whole issue of what I mentioned above & loose a fair bit of juice. I find it clears quicker if I put less than a ml in but that means filling more often which means problems more often. Never had this problem with PG mix, but i had reactions to PG so had to switch. Totally frustrating.
Thank you.

Vg juice tends to be thicker so benefits from being vaped from a bottom coil tank. Ce4/5 are top coil. As I beloeve are kanger t3/4.

Hi Steve, the Kangers were bottom coils, but they cook the juice & leak.

Welcome to you kaska. That's all I use VG heavy DIY eliquid . . . you can always dilute yours down further if you think it's too thick to wick successfully, with a little vodka or water. I've never had any issues and I use all different top and bottom coil clearo's with my eliquid.

Thank you Perpetua.
What juice do you use? I mean where do you get it from. Or I need to buy some distilled water then & try that.
edit ... Sorry ... DIY juice so you buy basic VG & dilute yourself. Ok I get it. Thank you.

Sorry kaska im not to familar with them lol. A little more info would be most helpfull ie. Battery you are using and resistance of the atomisers. If its cookimg juice then it sounds like theres not enough power going to the coil to vapourise the liquid properly. Also as Perpetua said you could dilute the juice further with distilled water or a little vodka (no ice or coke)

Thanks Steve. The variable batteries are Kangertech evod VV & ezee quit. Resistance 3.2-4.8.
I'm going to try watering the juice down.

It depends on the atomiser Perpetua. I find some need as little as 3.2 before burning & some need a 4 to get going. I'm sorry I don't know what you mean by atomiser resistance. I thought that was the battery. I do vape more than I smoked. But I'm not getting to vape at all when I fill them as that's where my major issues lie.

Thanks Steve. The variable batteries are Kangertech evod VV & ezee quit. Resistance 3.2-4.8. I'm going to try watering the juice down. 3.2-4.8 will be the power range of the evod vv . Resistance is the measure of the coil in the atomiser. Basically low resistance + high power = good vape High resistance +low power = boiled juice. Thts the best way I can describe it after a few beers lol Also when watering down juice just use a couple of drops at a time. You can always put more in, but you cant take it out

Thanks Steve. Where do I find out what my atomisers resistance is? Is that a stupid question. Probably & I haven't had any beers.

Hi kaska & to the forum. I am also a 100% VG user due to a PG intolerance. I use 2 very successful type of batteries/mod & various tanks. Battery I find fairly good for out & about is the Innokin itaste vv/vw and I use quite high wattage with that (10). On this battery I use an aerotank or a protank 3 with airflow controller. I have no problem with these. Indoors I use an Innokin VTR mod (my absolute favourite) and the tank I use is an iclear 30s, has to be the one with the 's' at the end. The coils last for absolutely ages, I mean weeks, then you can soak them overnight, dry them out and use them again for a few more weeks. I have the VTR set at 12.5 wattage. The iclear 30s's are my absolute favourite tanks too, and work out extremely economical on the coils due to the amount of time they last. I don't have any problems with overheating of juice or coils, gurgling or leaking. No problems whatsoever. I also mix my own juice and dilute the VG with 10% water, and my nic base is also in VG. Hope the above helps you a little.

Thank you toots! Very helpful. I'm going to look into making my own VG juice as I think that's where my first issue is. I'm going to find out how much distilled water is in my juice at present & attempt to adjust & go from there.
I've bookmarked your answer & may be back for help along the way. Thank you again.

Your very welcome kaska One thing to remember is that if you dilute your juice with water you will also be diluting the flavour. Also do not use distilled water use the water out of your tap, boil it - let it cool down and then use that. I actually use bottled water which I also boil, but due to where I live I cannot use tap water for anything other than washing. Hope you get it all sorted

Oh, I read somewhere only to use distilled water as tap water grows mold. Is that a myth? Why not distilled? I've just checked my supplier & there's less than 10% water, doesn't state how much less though. I buy unflavoured juice Toots & add flavours from flavour art as I don't like strong flavours so like to personalise. I presume I could still add the cooled boiled water to the juice I have containing distilled. This is really helpful info I'm receiving on here
