Check your recipes using a juice calculator before you order.

If you're aiming for 50/50 you might not be able to achieve it with PG base, given that your flavourings are PG based too.

Just to add, my customs calculations were quick!

Based on 20% vat of 40 ish quid (£8) and the robbing mails cut of also £8. Shouldn't be import duty on that value.

My last 2 orders came through no problem (1l and 500ml).
They were before the new regs though, so not sure if they could actually destroy it, as its a toxic substance?
If I remember correctly, rich puts nic base on the outside (doesn't saytoxic), but can't remember if the actual bottle says toxic or has a sticker, if they open it.

Think I may have to pull the trigger myself, and see what happens for that price!

If you found a cheaper shipping option, how ??

ronaldo, now you just have to decide whether to dilute your VG with 10% Vodka or distilled water otherwise it is a bit thick, always go for the Vodka myself as wifey always has some in stock.

I have a bottle of vodka here but its 85%proof  might be nice for a night time vape

You are indeed correct!

In the basket screen, having put UK as detonation, it gives USPS as $8.60. When you checkout, and put UK in again, the cheapest option is inded 36.28.

Still, £57 for a litre is very good, as long as customs leave it alone.

I guess you have to shake the dice before you pull the trigger on it ?

trigger has been pulled, not ordered since the new postal regs came in but have decided to take the chance. £49.22 for a litre of 50mg base is not to be sniffed at couldn't get more than 250ml here for that price

just did some sums fred and customs should leave it alone as they only charge duty on value of goods above £36.00 not your total spend with postage, think I'm right anyway my order is £27.00 for the goods (£27 for a litre of 50mg base!) and the rest is made up of shipping costs

I researched 'nicotine shelf-life' before (ahem!) investing, and the general opinion seems to be that VG base is stable for longer when stored in a freezer. This quote is from a US forum:

Much of the issues around storage are more cosmetic, that is, it takes only minute quantities of nicotine-oxide to strongly color a liquid. Depending on the nature of the pure nic used to make the liquid, and the viscosity of the carrier, tobacco flavors may bloom over a long time where they were not present initially. Neither of these will significantly change the nic content unless there is a lot of sustained agitation, with O2 continually being introduced. Thinner liquids will yellow and change flavor faster than VG liquids, and cheap nicotine, which contains other tobacco compounds, will change faster in color and flavor faster than pharm grade nic.

I am a chemist, and so I like to follow procedures that optimize preservation at new condition. My nic is virtually all VG-nic. I have 35 mg VG in the freezer that is almost 3 years old, and shows no coloration at all. Thus the nic content is unchanged, since it takes almost no nic-oxide to yellow a liquid.

On the other hand, some 36 mg PG from totally wicked after being freezer stored for 2 years had turned orange, but it had developed the most wonderful tobacco flavor. Pity I cannot vape PG. It was delicious all on its own...but some would look at it and say YUCK. It was not because PG is thinner, since I also had some Decadent Vapor 54 mg PG (pharm grade nic) that didn't change at all in two years of freezer. Seems to be the nic itself.

thanks for the info willy9b, thats why i love this forum, i will eventually be edumacated if i only i could retain at least 10% of the useful info picked up on here, may even be able to win an argument with the wife one day (only joking i never argue with the wife, she is always right)

by the way do you store your base in glass bottles?
