I have a pensioner that lives 4 doors away from me and she started vaping 4 weeks ago she has just got a MVP and a tank with pyrex she never told me what tank she got I only know its pyrex now her problem is
on the bottom of her VTR where you have your charge socket output socket and output switch the switch sticks out about 1mm so it makes it unstable when stood on a table it keeps falling over and breaking the glass in her tanks she has had the VTR 3 days and broken 4 pyrex tanks and only has 2 left so how do I make it stand up without wobbling I have told her to lie it down but she says she is frightened of leaks I fear if I don't sort this quickly she will give up and go back on the fags and we don't want that now do we
I was thinking something like a thick felt pad that I could make a template of the bottom of the VTR transfer it to the felt and stick that on it but does anyone have other ideas
please don't tell me to lie it down as I have done that at least a dozen times and she is a very very stubborn pensioner and wont do it
thank you for all suggestions but it needs to be quick as she it running out of tanks

A pad on the base was what sprung into my mind before reading that that was your idea! [ETA] I don't have an MVP though, so, as Lisburnvapes says below, it still might not be very stable.

ronaldo , I've had one of these MVPs for about 8 months , it's the v2, just checked mine and the output switch doesn't protrude on mine, I can stand it up ok. It's not the most stable of devices anyway as it's quite thin, I've knocked mine over quite a few times, it takes a steady hand to set it down properly Sent from my iPhone using Crapatalk

Could you quickly fashion her a mod stand for it? From an offcut of wood or something? Get a look at it yourself, and get it replaced by the vendor if there's an issue You may have to lend her something in the meantime? Could you also reinforce the tanks somehow?

Hi ronaldo I also have the MVP v2 which as lisburnvapes has said does not stick out so much. I think if you buy her some of those little self adhesive pads rubber or foam ones and trim them down so they stick all the way around the edge of the base thus still allowing the use of the sockets on the bottom it will be much more stable. What I will say is these are not very stable anyway because of the shape and then put an average size tank on there recipe for disaster. Hope this helps mate, what a Good Samaritan you are I tip my hat to you.

If you go to pound shop, maplin, lots of shops that do the small round self adhesive feet the normally leave the off cuts stuck to the backing and this is around a mm. Edit{ ronaldo I measured mine with micrometre its 0.9 mm thick, but you could double up. } Or cut the switch flush with a hot scalpel if its plastic.

right I think I have got this sorted now I removed the bottom and I used some of the offcuts off the kitchen cupboard silicon buttons that VapingBad linked me to as I had some of these in my van then I measured the MVP got a piece of wood and planed it down so it was 2mm to big all round then wrapped it in cling film to stop it sticking found a old drinking cup the type that goes In a car cup holder cut the cup down to 50mm stood the wood in the middle then mixed some car body filler (cataloy) and filled the cup so it had a good weight left it on the table in the sun to harden when it set I removed the wood sanded it on my belt sander cleaned it and it works brilliantly good idea of yours fred to make her a stand thank you for all your input
