Starter kits

I was born in Russia and live there until 6 yrs old.So perfectly understand everything in russian,but will take some time if I want to write something.Can watch a movie or read a book with no problem.Then 25 years live in Bulgaria.My university degree(11 years ago) was Japanese linguistics .But sadly with no practise at all,had my first son at that time and life take me in diferent direction,so now I can recognise a few Japanese words and can write in one of their alphabets.
English a study/practise with songs as teenager ,some at school,some in talking with people in the games I played through the years.Think I truly start speak English when I worked for one summer on Bulgarian seaside,in a hotel where come people only from England and Ireland.I would say it was a big challenge to understand what they want,because their English has nothing to do with songs,especially when drunk.
