We managed to get home in just under an hour and a half (better than the 3 & 1/4 hours it took us to get down there!!)

GunJack it was more a story about grockles than cows but ........

we got stuck in traffic on the way down so pulled off the A30 to take a scenic route (as did a few others). There was one car and trailer in front of us, after a few bends we came to a screeching halt as there was a herd of cows grazing near the road. The car in front seemed adverse to driving past the cows and just sat there. The cows being intrigued walked out onto the road and then said grockle decided to just herd them up the road for what seemed like miles ! There were a couple of occassions when they all walked on the grass but they wouldn't drive passed ! So our short cut turned into a cattle herding trip. It was quite fortunate he didn't just herd them all back onto the A30

but we got there in the end.


I should point out that I would never harm a cow as I love them and spent many a holiday in Ireland on a farm looking after them ... but I would be quite happy driving them past them !!!
