Blakey is patiently waiting for winter Don't like the heat, I hate feeling hot. I hate it when you start to perspire and you start to feel sticky cos then I instantly feel like I need a bath. It makes me feel dirty, like I have insects crawling all over me It makes me feel tired and even though I know I have plenty of energy I don't feel like I do, I become lethargic and it's a real chore to get off my ass and do anything. I have trouble sleeping in the heat which leaves me impatient and ratty I burn very easily in the sun so I get faced with the choice of sun cream which leaves me feeling greasy and dirty or covering up which makes me hotter I work with a bunch of complete tarts, when the room at work is at a decent tolerable temperature that I still think is warmer than I'd like they all moan that they're freezing When it's cold you can put on an extra layer or wear a coat When it's hot you're fu*ked I do the poor mans aircon thing with the frozen pack strapped to the fan and I also have a ceiling fan right above the bed The climate control in the car is set to 20 degrees in winter and as low as it will go in summer A complete contrast to my other half who loves the heat & the sun and will happily sit under the blooming thing all day, especially on holiday which causes bad feeling cos she always wants me to sit with her when all I really want to do is hide under the air con or at least go somewhere and do something That's got that off my chest

Cheeky buggers, I'm just adapted to the Autumn and Spring climate of the country I was born in as nature intended. Don't mind lazing around in 27°, but is not good if you are active. Would prefer it if the UK was less humid though.

I love sunshine and heat and rarely, if ever, does it get too hot in the UK. It does get humid though dry heat is nicer, but I never complain cos when peeps moan about it being too hot, the summer vanishes and we get weeks of rain and miserable cold! Love being outside in the sunshine

Love love sunshine, will never complain about hot weather. And I am opposite blakey when open window and see all the rain and cold and grey weather I just don't want to start anything.Want to sit on couch with a blanket and watch movie all day.Other thing when see sunshine outside, fill me up with energy.I would love to live in country where is summer all year around, don't have to be crazy hot,but sunshine is a must. Before I move to Scotland I thought people exaggerate that it rain all the time. How naive I could be

What a load of wimps you lot are. You wanna be over here in the summer then you'd know what heat is all about Ok, solution - go buy yourself a nice 3 speed ceiling fan, position bed under fan, whack it on - done Won't be long before you're all moaning about the cold I have one of those, and do you know how much electric it used up in one night £10.00 we have an electric pay meter at mo as we got into a bit of trouble a few years ago when both hubby and i were off sick from work, we have a bit of a debt to pay off, but i didn't realise that a lot of it was from me using the ceiling fan all the time it was on 24 hours a day 365 days a year as a like a cool room, only noticed how much it cost a couple of weeks ago when i had it on overnight one night to keep cool, and the meter shot down i couldn't believe how much juice it used in 12 hours, i need air con and a lottery win lol my cats have the right idea, not one in sight tonight they are all out and no where to be seen probably all hunting so no doubt will have a handful of mice in overnight, lol joys of living 6 doors down from a wood,

the only way i can stand the heat is to lie in my hot tub set on cool it's only inflatable one but i could gladly live in it all day when it's hot, which is what i did this afternoon it's where i'll be tomorrow and Friday,
just don't like feeling hot and sticky, and i have the horrible condition of my face sweating a lot summer winter, i hate it it's embarrassing but it's part of my condition and i can't stop it,
said to hubby that he will just find my slippers one day when i've combusted due to being to hot

During the summer I love ocld showers. Start with water lukewarm then gradually turn down to pure cold water. Dry off but leave hair wet. The energy required to evaporate this cold water helps keep you cool.
The sad thing for me is that pinkypuff loves the house like an oven. I sit here in nothing but shorts, and she'll be in two layers and still want the heating on full blast.
Our toddler agrees with me, duvets are the devils creation!!
