Oh seniorphil would you (or maybe ronaldo) save me a few of the protection circuits in case I have to try and fix a lap-top battery please mate, I meant to grab some on the day but it just slipped my mind.

Dont get me wrong im not complaining! Im just letting phil know coz I remembered him saying about an 8% failure rate. Im very gratefull that he lugged all those batteries all the way to vf

seniorphil Thanks for the batteries and the chats we had.

Stripped both units down, the green LG no probs. The pink Samsung had blobs of a rubberised adhesive on them.
Cut of old cover, fitted new shrink wrap tubing, jobs a good un !!

I'll put some aside when I am at hackspace, the guy who gave them to us is putting aside the good boards for the same purpose.

can I ask.....because i'm dim How do I tell they are dud? as I am just charging them up in pairs at the moment and I suspect teh answer will be: when they don't fire a mod!!

They either won't take the charge, or they'll charge way too fast. If they show as fully charged in half an hour or even an hour the chances are they'll on last you a few puffs in your mod. They won't blow up on you though, just die really quick.

The dud panasonics didnt register in the charger ie no lights
The dud sonys just keep flashing 3 lights showing an error straight away

Charging mine now, well 3 sony's and a batt I used today, so far so good. Cheers Phil

Tested mine tonight. Out of 16 batts 8 seem to be good. Well pleased. Thanks again seniorphil. :-)

thanks for the shrink wrap link VapingBad I've pooped some pink and green in my fasttech basket as there's no rush, only a couple of my battery casings are ripped
