See if chainmaker can hook you up with some vape grips : these They're a lifesaver, used them to unstick stuff like a clone Nemmy that had melded itself in the past

i've found that if you can get the top to tighten a bit it'll release pressure on the threads for the bottom section. That's usually enough for me to get them apart. That, and not overtightening helps too (not a critcism).

If you do manage to break the glass then no sweat, the tanks are available from many places and at good prices.
