My contribution to the days frivolities was a polite suggestion to the girl on the (1 of only 2 ) food vans to maybe consider employing the services of the elusive "JC" next year. His skill at turning 12 burgers into 5000 would have been gratefully appreciated I reckon, although she did kindly offer me the last of her fine culinary delights at a knock down price of £4.50p ( a wrinkled up sausage ensconced in a dried up bun at 3.00pm )after queueing up for nearly half an hour. Needless to say I turned down the offer & I believe my suggestion (along with the offending sausage) got binned.............. "Life.........is just a bowl of tricks!!!!!!" Ah, But we had a good Breakfast at the Hotel didn't we.... and it was great sitting with you Chris and talking the type of Music related Bollocks that only us oldies can do.... PM me your addy mate, I have that bottle for you. Kev
Highlight of the weekend Kev................. "Life...........is just a bowl of tricks!!!!!!"

I'd like to thank a couple of the Vendors: Kev Frogster (The Alchemist) for letting us "camp out" in his tent, and his generosity with the Vapefest Special liquid and other samples even taking time out to come over and chat when he was very busy. Jason VE Jason for the freebie mug, pen etc and for having the Nautilus BVC coils which finally make my Nautilus Vapeable. If we could arrange a tent/meeting space for the Friday night before for the Pre-Show AAEC party that would be AWESOME, I'll bring the Cider And the BIGGEST thanks to all the fabulous AAEC members old and new who I met, every single one a "Top Guy/Gal" I had lots of kisses and cuddles (from the Girls and chrisjw) and everyone was so friendly. I'm only sorry that I could not spend more time with you all but next year I may stay for the 2 nights... watch this space!

told you not to put a pic up of me, DiscoDes I hate the way i am after all the steroids, desperately trying to lose the steroid look hopefully next year will have lost it provided i don't need anymore for a while, I will let you off this once though, you have managed to do what no family member has managed in 5 years to take a pic of me. I avoid camera's until i'm slim again, used to be 7.5 stone 8 years ago before this illness hit

DiscoDes next year we should bring along a collapsible flagpole and rig up an AAEC flag at the Campsite We have/had (not sure where it went??) a pole that we used fly a wind sock from when caravanning (so the kids could find the caravan!) and maybe even a ground spike to go with it.... would just need an AAEC flag to tie to the top

DiscoDes next year we should bring along a collapsible flagpole and rig up an AAEC flag at the Campsite I can make a weatherproof AAEC flag/banner for next out of vinyl/plastic, we can just extend one of the gazebo poles with a bamboo cane. Maybe ask chrisjw to do the graphics so it resembles his name tags djs had mentioned having a camper as part of a AAEC meeting tent/drinking/socialising area. Let's hope we have this site or another campsite next year.

DiscoDes next year we should bring along a collapsible flagpole and rig up an AAEC flag at the Campsite It would have saved me a few laps of the campsite (if it arrived first). I phoned DiscoDes when I got there over an hour late and he was still well over an hour away stuck in traffic. Finally spotted Pepperty & arron and while putting my tent up loads more people arrived.

Thanks for your views, all I can say is it worked for us and was appreciated by lots of "Customers" who attended.
It is a way of life nowadays, our girls were top line models, usually seen on the F1 racing circuit among others.
They were very happy with the event, and what they got paid, hardly exploited - it is their chosen career.
But as I said, thanks for your views.

just a swift thought, vistaprint do promos, I've used them in the past as theres always a few things available really cheap to tempt new customers and I did a free 2 foot vinyl printed a year or so back? No cost! I would happily look into getting that done for future camping plans, would help us find each other AND it'll be waterproof but if theres a member -- seniorphil you can do this sort of thing? its definately the answer as not finding members was a real issue this time at vapefest, with it being such a wonderfully huge venue

Firstly, Ow, Ow, Ow, no sleep, exhaustion, everything now hurts. Best time I've had in so very long. Accidentally pitched my tent near the AAE-C crew and didn't notice until an early morning chat with Dee. So fantastic to meet everybody and I do have photos (but you never end up with enough because of talking and excitement). Will get some up as soon as moving fingers and thinking don't hurt any more lol My poor brain may never fully catch up with all the conversations I had and I may need a wrist brace after all the hand shaking duty it did. Hey and Trog even tried my Elric device and seemed to approve !!!!

Agh, a couple of photos there of me I'm such a wide load nowadays. Know what you mean about the bloating clairea its hard to believe I was a size 12 a few years back but least I'm alive so im trying to be grateful for the daily medication and avoid the fact I look so haggard. A couple of members commented (gently) that I didn't look like my photo/how they expected/older than they thought. I think I'd best use one of these piccys as my avatar! Tease-smiley and stick my age on profile
