I second that, didn't know a single person going so it was a bit of a gamble, but had a brilliant time, made some new friends and found an old one.  The weather was good enough and the drinks never ran out (and the ice box kept cooling the refills, in fact the milk in my coffee I'm drinking now had been at Vapefest all weekend and it's fine).

third that, if you are worried that you won't find anyone then get a mobile number or two i bumped into a crowd of other members on here in a tent they spotted me, but i did have @phoenixflames  and Steve (VapeStorm), numbers,  so if hadn't of found anyone would have sent a text or called them at some point,  but I was also lucky and hubby didn't dump me there he decided to come round with me and even though he doesn't smoke or vape, he is supportive of the fact i vape and he did enjoy himself people watching so we both enjoyed ourselves and he is now thinking of taking me to VF Ireland in Nov, can't see it happening myself but VF next year will hopefully be on the list

I must admit, I made contingency plans....

Decided I'd camp Friday, even if I ended up on my lonesome, and do the next day seeing all the stalls and if I met no-one or you were awful (I knew you wouldn't be! honest) then I'd make an excuse pack up and drive home on the Saturday! I was a wee bit nervous about the whole sleeping in a tent two nights but it wasnt so bad? and I couldn't have afforded two nights in a hotel

clairea your health is much more important than a few pounds.

I was 6 stone when I went on the steroids - 60mg prednisolone daily, it bloats you , and the water shows weight gain on the scales, but they do not make people fat, that is a myth, just bloated.

I have put weight on, because old age, middle age spread and good living ( or is that junk food living cos you are too ill to cook proper?) does that, but I am now 8st ( 49kg to be exact ) and many days my ankles and fingers are so swollen they hurt like hell and look horrendous, but it is keeping me going.

Yes I want to be able to wear skirts and dresses, but no can do it's a small price to pay for been alive. Don't worry about weight, been alive and as healthy as you can be is more important, anyone decent sees the person inside.

I was planning to go but unfortunately I'm currently about half way between UK and Norway. It looks like everyone had a great time though and I hope to make it next year. Thanks for all the photos, faces are much better than avatars and screenames

Jason VE Jason for the freebie mug, pen etc and for having the Nautilus BVC coils which finally make my Nautilus Vapeable.

If we could arrange a tent/meeting space for the Friday night before for the Pre-Show AAEC party that would be AWESOME, I'll bring the Cider

And the BIGGEST thanks to all the fabulous AAEC members old and new who I met, every single one a "Top Guy/Gal" I had lots of kisses and cuddles (from the Girls and chrisjw) and everyone was so friendly.

I'm only sorry that I could not spend more time with you all but next year I may stay for the 2 nights... watch this space!

We have/had (not sure where it went??)  a pole that we used fly a wind sock from when caravanning (so the kids could find the caravan!) and maybe even a ground spike to go with it.... would just need an AAEC flag to tie to the top 

That is an excellent idea, A few times when going abroad I have had other peoples children on the beach for the whole day, I always took a small kite, attached it to the sun brolley then their parents knew where we were should they return with any supplies ( like san Miguel lol )

Well if it was then you didn't do a very good job - had to shower when I got back to the hotel as I had muddy toes !

Know what you mean about the bloating clairea its hard to believe I was a size 12 a few years back but least I'm alive so im trying to be grateful for the daily medication and avoid the fact I look so haggard. A couple of members commented (gently) that I didn't look like my photo/how they expected/older than they thought. I think I'd best use one of these piccys as my avatar! Tease-smiley and stick my age on profile

I have just replied to clairea posts saying the same .

It is what is inside that  counts.
