AAEC forum members strike again winnietyson, take up these two fantastic offers from striker42 and chykensa! You'll not have to worry about tank-crackers then! Pluid is a great anise juice, but I think its easier to get hold of rocking horse sh!t. £8 for 10ml is very overpriced - I mix my own aniseed (CCW) and it works out less than a pound for 10ml.

I've got a brand new PT3, never been out the box, pm me your details and I'll send it to you. A fantastic offer striker42, all kudos to you! That's yet another example of why I am a member of this forum. I am now mentally rifling through my box of 'spares' to find something that would help, without much success as my OH has recently given up the stinkies and is now vaping too, so my smaller clearos are being used Suffice it to say winnietyson that I will happily recoil any heads that you have for free, and I'll cover the postage back to you. PM me and I'll give you my address. Anything that we can do to keep you off the stinkies is time and money well spent in my book! Thanks chykensa. I bought three in a deal, Mrs Striker is using two of them as I am a Kayfun fan, so its really the lady of the house that's helping out a fellow vaper here. Had to tinker with the coils as they both were flooding. I removed the stock and inserted a small cotton flavour wick over the wick and coil and they have been fine so far. I guess we have all had the experience of having to tinker with a stock coil. That's four weeks the two of them have been going, so the coils seem to last quite well.

winnietyson - just for interest's sake, how much do you pay for your CE4s, and how long do they last? I appreciate that money is very tight, but I reckon that with a good clearo and some basic recoiling skills, you would save in the long term. After a dozen recoils you'll be able to make one up in 5 minutes, like we all do. 10m of wire will cost a couple of quid, and cotton wool - you must have some somewhere in the house!? Balls, make-up pads, they will all do the job, and a large bag of CW balls costs about £1.50 and will literally last you about 10 years!! I usually source the cheapest of the cheapest on ebay tbh!! Think the last lot I got was 20 ce4s for about £19 including delivery!! They usually last around 3 weeks depending on whether I'm using it or the other half is!!

My friend uses throwaway ce4's and seems quite content on them, and she only uses one flavour... but her perspective is different to mine, she vapes to avoid the cost of cigarettes and occasionally 'treats herself' to a pack of fags.
She's just interested in a nicotine hit whereas I want optimum flavour and enjoyment and I flavour swap regularly to avoid losing taste and see vaping as a hobby ( I have to as I'm always buying gear/juice etc) but I can afford to at least spend what two packs of tobacco and ciggie tubes cost me so by my own reckoning I used to spend £30-35 a week and if I had duty free it was £20 per week at the least, so I allow myself a £80 a month vape budget
My friend says her costs are £3 per week; 1 ce4 at £1 lasts her 10-14 days and 20ml of juice. For gear she has a few ego's in various sizes and is quite content (and generally fag free) so what works for you is great!

Thanks to all those who have helped me out with the hardware!! I have received and am using the Pt3 from striker42 and will most certainly NOT be going back to the crappy ce4s!! The feel of the draw on it is amazing and is a lot easier to draw on too!! Although it does feel a little heavy in the hand!!

To save even more cash one of Jonco's microcoiled kanger heads would both improve the vape and save cash as microcoils last an age. Just carefully remove the cotton once a week. Dry burn and replace cotton. I find clipping one end with nail clippers then using a pin to poke it through works best to remove the cotton without damaging the coil. They're £2.75 and worth every penny. Last microcoil I had lasted me four months changing the wick once a week.
