After a long hard search through the archives I have found this: Hi Pet - I've already bought some of this but haven't mixed it yet what % do you recommend? 20% and it's lovely nem. Now I read somewhere that DV concentrates are VERY strong and that 5% is adequate for most of them. I mixed some Lime Zinger at 5% last night & couldn't resist a little try today, it has the most accurate lime taste I've found yet but is a little weak. So citrus flavours need steeping? and if so how long? and what percentage do YOU use for this concentrate? Thank you everyone for your expected multitude of replies

There may be 91 opinions but have you read them? I fell asleep after the first ½ dozen, boring farts out there, that's why I asked in here, people who can string a sentence together (well most of them) and people who say more than "tastes of lime"....----- REALLY Getting back to the serious side, I'm sure Chefs Vapour said that 5% was normally enough (I'm too lazy/its too late to check) and obviously being a tight git if I can make 200ml from a bottle as opposed to 40ml my eyes open wide ;-) Will it improve in strength with steeping or will it just emphasise the flavour, or does it even need steeping. Back to my first comment on this post, I TRUST our members opinions so thats what I'm looking for

I just know about DV Absinthe [20%] and DV Liquorice [15%]. That's the percentage I find best for taste, even after a long steep.

It won't get any stronger with steeping, all I can say if you'll forgive me, is that surely it's worth using some extra flavouring to achieve an enjoyable tasty vape. Economy can be taken too far perhaps? Why don't you mix up a frugal 5ml sample to see the difference.

If the Lime flavour is representative of DV flavours on the whole, I have always used them at 10-20% depending on recipe. I have never found them to be too strong Q, so would be tempted to use this at least at 12-15% according to your tastes. As Mandy says, a small sample at a higher percentage may solve this for you

Frogster (The Alchemist)'s secret recipe for the alchemists yummy Vodka and Lime (or maybe an early draft at any rate) is on the beverages recipe thread and that uses Lime Zinger at 15% so I think you'll need more than 5% unless your taste buds are super sensitive. Then again I like all my flavours super strong so mix almost everything at 20%+ concentrate That said my attempts turned out nothing like the pre mix but that is probably my ineptitude

I DO like my flavours strong, that (and the cost) is the main reason I mix my own now, I always err on the side of caution at the start, you can always add but you cant take away

Our stock flavours are different....
