Going by Focal`s published pics it is the 18650 one, bottom pic seems to match up for dimensions. The top one is the 18500 original Kato.

We have checked this product. This item can be used by 18500 and 18650 battery.

Please look at this picture:

There is an extra spring for this item. When you put the spring inside the tube, you can use 18500 battery on it. Our staff have tested and it works great.

This mod is an 18650 device, the spring is a spare spring, and nothing else!

Thank you for pointing out. I didn't take it as offence.
We have tested this item by 18500  battery with the spring, and it works great. We will test it again. If this is wrong, we will inform you guys.

Hello aaec vapers,

Please ignore my last message saying this mod couldn't be used by 18500 battery.

Seeing is beliveing. We have tested again by the sping. We pull the spring and put it into the mod, we used 18500 battery and it vapes great!

Foclecig its not so much being able to use a 18500 batt in the 18650 mod
its that there are 2 different sizes of the real kato available and the 18500 version is a lot smaller
did not stop me ordering one icon_shoppingm

Just as an aside... Foclecig I think the big message here is if you could source the 18500 version ... 
... then there would be a lot of grateful people who can not afford the original.

We will try to record a video.

For the 18500 battery, we disassembled the bottom HERE and then put the extra spring into it. After that, we put the 18500 battery instead of 18650 battery and then vaped. Works good. But we need to ask for one more extra spring from the supplier.

icon_shoppingm it is hard to convince you because the original version, i will ask them to record video when new batch arrives.

i do belave you that it will work with a 18500 batt
but there is a smaller vertion of the kato that only works with the 18500 batt and a 18650 batt will not fit in it
a lot of people want the one that only takes the 18500 batt as it is much shorter in height than this one www.vaporwarestore.com/product-p/kato-mod.htm but i dont think its been cloned like that yet
have to admit your,s looks much better in the pics than the one thats turned up on a diff sight cant wait to get it in my hands
