Id take a look in the shops @zuza, once your imagination starts, you will start looking at everything as a potential mod. Breakthru forum can be good for technical advice . breaktru.com/smf/Or just ask on here. If you can get to a local meet up you'll often get to view peoples homemade stuff in the flesh and get lots of ideas and inspiration. Whatever you decide, good luck.

Good choice to start with. If you go for the Hammond box you would probably get away with the smallest one and still manage twin 18650's in parallel for battery life.

Don't really know a lot, I've followed guides from Super-Shiny, and had some good advice from him, piper1 and VapingBad. The best advice I was given was to plan well ahead and have due regard for safety. Near Kirkcaldy, not really, I'm in the Lanarkshire area.

I couldn't find a Hammond box that suited me for my first box mod as the insides of the corners are occupied by the screws you seem to always have to go up a size and didn't want to do a 4" x 2" x 1". So I made a box, but that was a hell of a lot of hassle and most people start with a Altiods or similar tin as seniorphil said and you end up eyeing everything up as a possible box. I drew everything out 1:1 on graph paper to check the fit before I started, you can cut out the components and move them around until your happy. One thing I would say @zura is the switches you have will not take high current and you may want to look at making a MOSFET switch (works like a solenoid relay the FET takes the current) there should be plenty of info on these on breaktru. To me the box is the biggest challenge, good luck.
