I don`t use a blow torch timmy0 . Just make sure you keep the coil reasonably tight to start with then heat and compress on the atty . If you wick like on the vid it just works spot on every time and the wicking is the most important bit. Coil you can check before assembly but if the wick doesn`t work right it means draining all your tank off to adjust .

Good luck with the KFL timmy0 I followed that same video above when I first got mine and it worked great. Go for the .3mm wire and above. I guarantee you will end up using thicker wire. V-A-M will usually deliver day after you make the order.

I also use the same company with good results. I use .32 Kanthal and cotton wool. 6 wraps around a 2.5mm screwdriver shank will give you a bot more diameter to play with when threading the CW through, and should give you around 1.2 ohms. You haven't mentioned what you are firing the Kayfun on? If it's a mech mod, you will be quite safe, but if you are using a VV/VW device, you might need one or two extra wraps to give a bit more resistance, as many of these devices cut out below around 1.4ohm.
