I have seen several references to 306, particularly with reference to atomisers and assumed this was some peculiar thread size but I have now read something that suggests they use 510 threads. If this is correct, what is the significance of the "306" and will they fit a standard 510 device?

a 306 will fit a 510 connection fine the atty is very much liked if not prefered by direct drippers and i have been very tempted to order one to give it a go... what apeals to me is the atty is exposed so i can make sure i get it primed enough as i have struggled getting 510's working well.

I assumed the same as Dave, thinking that the "306" was a thread type and now realize that this, for various reasons is the drippers choice and will fit my 510 connection.
I am now looking at getting one from Jason for taste testing juices, as well as one of those cartomiser cleany spinning thingies.
I checked on the price for sending my Boges' around the Large Hadron Collider for one lap as that would proper clean them out but the cost was rather prohibitive and I read somewhere that it could mess with the threads a little and cause leakage.

This was the reason for my interest Gordy - it often being mentioned for dripping and your point about the 306 being exposed explains why. I have been using the basic Riva atomiser to test out new juices which is OK but not great and wanted to get something a bit better and with a lower resistance. I have seen good reports of Cisco and Bauway amongst others and as you say Jason does one.
They are not exactly cheap - £5 ish, so would appreciate a recommendation of a good one to start with - any seasoned drippers got a suggestion?

I haven't tried a 306, it's still on my 'to-do' list that I've im'd and am'd about Dave . . . mainly because I like 901's so much for dripping, so I've put it on the back burner. * Useless information from me there. *

So if the difference is not thread size, what is it?
It would be really nice if someone could explain quite what the numbers really mean in a technical sense and why one is better/worse than another.
I've only used 510 so far, but might try something else if there were good reason to.

Do you buy any particular brand of LR901, Prof? From any particular supplier?

Prof, that was a very useful link, thanks. What does the "306" refer to though?
