510-901 adapter with a drip shield tightens the draw and no leaks. With the LR 901's you get great flavour and a good throat hit.

I agree with Dave, I find the whole vaping thing fascinating and am hooked.

Gordy you are a veritable mine of information. If I stick one of these on a 510 with an adaptor I will therefore get two lots of airflow I asssume? Since I don't like too airy a vape I think I will go with a straight 510 fitting 306 atomiser to start with and maybe get a 901 battery in the future to try the LR901's on. I don't want to have to do another sellotape mod I find all this stuff fascinating - probably the truth is that at my stage in the game and the hammering my taste buds have had over the years I wouldn't be able to tell the difference anyhow Dave with the 901 there is no air flow through the bottom of the atty to the battery connection at all, its completely sealed. so you will get the same draw on a 510 with an adapter as you would from a 901 battery. with the 901 atty there is a space under the coil and air is drawn in through this and up past the coil

Thanks Gordy I think I finally understand. I'm so used to 501 things it didn't occur to me that the bottom of an attie would be sealed. Now I also understand bluemagnum's point. Looks like a visit to LF is in order!

these drip shields will be great when they get them in stock they catch the juice when it leaks out the side hole then can get sucked back in.

This business is frightening. I started this thread as I wanted to get an attie to taste new juices in and wondered about the 306 ones, thinking it might be worth punting a fiver to get something decent. I now find that for the optimal experience I should get: LR901 attie 510-901 stealth adaptor 306 drip shield coordinating 306 drip tip This lot adds up roughly to the price of a new Riva and 5 cartomisers! What is worse is that I am almost tempted For the time being though I am going to be sensible (sorry Perpy!), pass on the shield and get a cheapo tip, until I find I'm doing a lot of dripping. Thanks again all for loads of incredibly informative input

LOL Dave ...we haven't even mentioned the 306DCA yet to be honest tho Dave just grab yourself either a 306 (plus driptip) or a 901 (plus adapter) and give it a try. once you have found an atty you like then you can think about adding all the trimmings

Lol Dave . . . we're just being naughty and putting temptation in your way, in all honesty you can vape very well for not a huge amount of money, it's just that addicts like us . . . well you know the rest! i thought that Perpy, surprisingly cheaper too and hopefully Lisa will be able to keep them in stock unlike Avid LOL. i may well have to pick one up as i do love the way they look and love the flavour from a 901 but find they are leaky lil devils A very pleasant surprise on the price Gordy, I know when I did the wee Group Order with Empire they came out at about £9.50 each I think direct from the US. I'd certainly get a couple more when Lisa gets them in stock, although I don't have a great problem with leaking on the 901's, I do love the appearance of the shields . . . they just tidy everything up somehow.

Well just ordered my adaptor and LR901 attie from LF. As I was doing that it dawned on me that after all this I wasn't getting a 306 attie at all! This was just as well as I was about to order a 306 drip tip! All this talk of 306's has obviously addled my brain ???
Following something I read on another thread I had already reviewed most of the things I previously bought from LF so had clocked up £2.72 in credit then there is the ECR69 15% discount and then free postage, so turned out to be an extremely economical purchase.
Well not quite, as they have just got Boge cartomisers back in stock so added a couple of packs of them!

Dave, I ordered the above from Jason on Saturday along with www.vapeescape.co.uk/306lr-atomiser~217just to give it a try. Going to try my hand at some mixology thought it the best way to try my creations over the holidays.
