Oh and I wish you could have been a fly on the wall when my son was tweaking and typing and trying to 'get down with the vape lingo' I was cackling like a witch as I gave him a swift vape lesson and he gave me a conductivity/resistance breakdown in bite-sized chunks. <<the blind leading the blind!>>

If in doubt Pepperty have another vodka, I'm sure well get the answer eventually even if it means an exchange mod Glad I brought a smile to your face, just sorry we haven't managed to make your smile even bigger yet and get that damn microstick working. As my mother stated just before, its not like I don't have 'TONS of other e-cigarettes' and typical of me I ALWAYS get fixated with 'stuff' and its my nature to go OTT and I should spend more time doing housework etc etc ??? turn the thumbscrews eh? thanks Ma....

At least she gave me the backhanded compliment that she was proud I'd quit smoking (which is more than anyone else in the family has done) .....but tagged on 'when was I going to stop vaping?' er......

and YES kl34 I do pick up my microstick spasmodically throughout the day and hopefully press the fire button --- waiting for a miracle, also i change atty's and batteries hopefully..............I'm such an optimist! I couldn't sleep last night for hoping a vape fairy would come along and magically fix my microstick in the night.... and yes, I rushed down on awakening to see if all was fixed. I'm a 47 year old housewife and mother of 3 who obviously read far too much Enid Blyton novels in her childhood

I can only think there is some sort of coating on the threads that give the high reading. Maybe time to contact the vendor. Still not working ? Hard to read the whole thread on the phone but from what I can see the coating on the threads idea could be the problem. Maybe some kind of varnish or lacquer though you might be able to tell if it is that by scratching it with a sharp knife ? Though that might not be a good idea if you are going to send it back.

Pep just to rule out the spheroid 510 connectors could you try a diver or carto and see if those fire ? aaaand that was the second thing I tried and yes I hoped all would be well!! and nope! Karma's a bitch and obviously I've been a bad and wicked woman sometime in my life?..........Charlie, I also suspected some awful machine grease was causing issue so made son scrape at the inner threads where 510 connector was, again ever optimistic and dammit! NO!

Sorry, the thread us so long... Can't read it all. The first thing you can do to get support is to write us mini-ecig.com/contactFAQ is here: mini-ecig.com/faqCurrently we have 4 new MicroSticks, which are not firing. All 4 were reported yesterday, so we haven't identified if all have the same problem or different and what actually is the problem. The most suspected is #3 below. Here is the summary of all know problems. The connection consists of several parts:- Minus: battery - button - brass insertion - MicroStick's body - external part of 510 conenctor - atty body - wire - Plus: battery - brass conductor - brass pin in 510 connector - atty central post - wire There are several possible root causes:1) the battery is flat Solutions: - charge or replace 2) the battery is too short To check: - Press on the button. It shouldn't go all the way down to the body. There should be a gap between the pressed button and the body. It means that it touches the battery. Solutions: - slightly unscrew the screw in the button - use 18500 batteries; all 18500 batteries should be ok - try another 18490 battery; some of them are really short - add a magnet 3) no contact between external part of 510 connector and the MicroStick's body To check: - Press the button and manually connect the atty body and the pressed button. If it fires now, the problem is in the contact between 510 connector and the MicroStick body. Solution: - Remove the bottom cap. Take out the 510 connector (you can use GP fork for this) and check the threads. They should be clean. Screw in the connector and check again. 4) the 510 connector pin has no connection to the conductor inside bottom cap or the extender Solutions: - Check if the bottom cap is loose. If needed, slightly screw in the screws in the bottom cap. - Take off the atty. Press on the brass 510 connector pin inside the MicroStick. Press just once with a screwdriver, for example. 5) atty makes no connection with 510 connector Solutions: - if the atty pin is sunk Take a closer look at the atty (choose any). There is a brass pin in the connector surrounded by the insulator. The brass pin must be higher than the insulator (if you have the atty up side down while looking at it). The MicroStick has the brass pin 3.5 mm in diameter. If the pin in the atty is sunk into the insulator, the atty might work well with many other mods but not with the MicroStick, because in the MicroStick the pin in the atty doesn't touch the 510 connector pin. If possible, disassemble the atty and push out the pin or try another atty. - if the threads are slightly mismatching Check if the atty is fully screwed in. Try to apply slightly more force while screwing it in.

It's an updated list of tips Try this: Press the button and manually connect the atty body and the pressed button with a wire. If it fires now, the problem is in the contact between 510 connector and the MicroStick body.

Do you use some non conductive chemical that could get on the threads by mistake ?
