Hello all again, following on from my previous post, I placed an order for 3 different. As suggested I am going to finish out my 35 cartridges of my Halo kit and refill with juice as and when to try them out.
I welcome the recommendation of the Riva but think for now I would like to take it in stages and go up a model to a 510 (I know you probably think I am silly and end up with the Riva anyway!)
So my question is, where can I find a cheapish one to buy?, I am not looking for a starter kit as such, more just a battery, a charger and some blank cartomisers. This is just a trial to see if I can handle the refilling side of it.
Secondly from reading around it seems that people prefer the manual versions, now, I am totally lazy, would an automatic be that devastating?
Thank you all in advance :-[

I'm not noted for finding the best bargains, MrsMac but before I look around I'll just drop you a little techie info: 510 purely refers to the screw fitting* on the battery and atomiser, other fittings are 901, 306, 401, 801 and even more But I know what you mean, they go under different names, eg, Titan. Am not sure if auto Titans are available, it's so long since I looked, off I go >>> *It's easy to get adapters if you ever want to put 2 different screw fittings together.

Hi mrsmac (and welcome btw), I doubt you'd notice any real difference between a basic 510 Joye or similar and the halo you're using just now. The only major difference between them is the thread type that connects the cartomiser/atomiser to the battery. The Halo is a KR808D1 thread type, and the Joye is a 510 thread type. If you just want to try out refilling cartomisers with different juices you can get empty KR808D type cartomisers that will fit straight on your Halo here: www.vapeescape.co.uk/kr808d-cartomisers-%28empty%29-%28icase%29~14From what I've read KR808D's are pretty good as far as lookalike e-cigs go, the only real advantage of the 510 types is that it's a much more common type of fitting, so there's a lot more choice of cartomiser types etc. So if you were to move on to a Riva (which is also a 510 fitting) you could use stuff on it that fits on a small Joye 510 type ciggy. Hope that helps, John

Ahhhh I see, thank you both so much. When I said 510 I meant some thing like the Joye 510, I have also seen it called a mini (right now I believe I have a super mini). The battery life isnt too bad, I get through a battery on a half right now but havent fully made the leap to eciggies. I think I am also getting confused with the battery that it is, I thought it was a rn4081? if it is the kr808d1 then I will defo try the cartomisers suggested.

That looks a good kit as it has both batteries 280mAh, the other has one and one lower mAh. However, it doesn't include a wall charger and has different carts. But you can get a USB/Mains adapter very cheap on eBay or from some e-cig suppliers. It's a blummin minefield out there when comparing products

Oops, maybe scratch me earlier advice It looks like there's more than one Halo If what you've got is this: www.ecigarettedirect.co.uk/products/halo-electronic-cigarette.htmlThen you are right, it's a RN4091, so please ignore everything I said before! Apologies if I've caused any confusion. I was thinking you had a Halo G6, a different beast entirely. John

Indeed it is a total mindfield, wish I had joined here before I purchased but I think when I was looking it all got too complicated lol.
Yes John that is what I currently have. So I am guessing the easycigs one seems ok and I would be able to get cartomisers for it? I hope the next month goes slowly so I can finish with my kit, I just dont want to run out and have nothing:(

MrsM, I can't get easycigs site to load that you linked to, so not sure what the price of their 510 is that you are looking at. However, this one is a good price from a good seller (Discount code allaboute gives you 10% off) - www.uk-eliquid.co.uk/collections/frontpage/products/510-get-started-kitIf it was your first e-cig, I wouldn't be recommending a kit with only one battery in it, but if you just want to try a 510, then it would be ideal for you. It comes with an atomiser & cartridges, rather than cartomisers, but any standard 510 (not LR) cartomisers will work on it.

Hi mrsmac and a belated welcome from me too. I expect you already feel overloaded with advice - I know the feeling from when I recently started! If I understand you right, you are thinking of getting a cheap automatic 510 battery to put your toe in the water . Here is one from a very helpful vendor who is highly thought of on here: www.vapeescape.co.uk/510-battery-%28automatic%29~22Jason also does a suitable USB charger: www.vapeescape.co.uk/510-usb-charger-for-mini-510-batteries~211On the same website you will also find blank 510 cartomisers (the Boges are very good) and for some tasters of excellent juice, you won't go far wrong with their Grizwalds pick 'n' mix pack to try them out. As people have already said, the automatics like this one don't last long between charges and you would soon get used to the manual batteries. They are twice the price but last about 5 times as long. Hope this is helpful

Chrissie beat me to it - you often get advice in stereo here! Forgot to add that the code allabout gives you 10% off at vapescape in case you didn't know that.

hi mrsmac yeh 510 or titans come in both auto and manuel andthey both have there advangtages. someone over at ukv has this one avaliable ukvapers.com/topic/11036-innokin-510t-mini-tank-kit/page__hl__%2Binnokin+%2Btank__fromsearch__1. £20 but you might be able to haggle its same one i got but prefer using cartos now. i started off with a health e cigarette which ive been told is a 4081 which which seems similar to your halo...and the 510 is a massive improvement. i get 2hrs vaping out of each battery so probably best to get a pcc for it so to last all day although i got less than 1hr from my 4081 and saw teeth from sucking too hard. www.halocigs.com/510-pcc-case.htmlyou can also get mega batteries(which feel a little like snooker ques) which last double the time.
