We all do our banners differently. Directly copying the code to your siggy will include an active link (click on the banner and it takes you elsewhere). adblock occasionally sees these images as ads, and blocks them. My siggy is visible to everybody because I removed the link. I can't speak for others tho.

And just to add insult to injury - I'm currently on a 4G dongle and can't see any of the AAE-C banners. This is because the image host is rated '18', and because I refuse to register a credit card to prove my age it's gonna stay that way.
