I received my new kit, VS2 and an AeroTank mini, charged up the battery (½ hour then and additional 3-4 hrs. as mentioned on the forum ), filled up the tank and vaped. Absolute heaven coming from and eGo and cartomisers! Thing is I used a flavoured liquid and when it finally ran out I needed to clean the tank before adding my fav. baccy flavour. When I cleaned the tank I thought one end of the glass tube looked a bit "foggy", white like etched glass does. Cleaned and put back together.... it was horrible No matter how I adjusted the voltage or the air I was getting next to no vapour. I laid it down to do something and when I came back the tube had a small amount of liquid on the outside and there was a damp patch under it (tiny). I was getting a bit fed up so put it upright where I keep my gear and got out the old eGo and cartos. Next morning when I had calmed down, lol, and went to get the new kit to try again, there was liquid halfway down the outside of the battery and of course the connection was full etc... I've now got it cleaned up (again!) and have taken a photo as I'm not sure what each part is called. I'm now thinking that the bit I thought looked "foggy" was in fact some sort of silicone washer that I have washed down the drain. If so, I still don't understand why it would be leaking when upright?? In the photo, from the right - this bit has a "silicone washer" down by the threaded bit, the second piece has a washer at the bottom where the tube would sit, the 3rd piece which is the top when together has no washer. There are no washers on the tube itself (now!). I do have to say that I found changing the air to be quite fiddly for me as I couldn't grip just the adjustable bit and found I was often also turning the very bottom where it screws on to the battery. Still I'm not sure why this would make the bottom leak when upright. So - am I missing a washer at the top (for the leak when laying down), can you buy them separately and what have I done that would make it leak from the bottom? I apologise for this turning into a tome, and want to say that it worked perfectly before I messed it up! I was so impressed and am now back on the eGo and cartos, an unhappy vaper and desperate for advice. Thanks

shazzaThere should be an 'o' ring on the top part to seal it at the glass tube as you suspected - did you check the sink for it ?

As said you definitely need an oring/ washer at top and bottom ie at either side of the Pyrex tank. The missing washer allows air in the tank and therefore liquid out the bottom. I don't have a mini aerotank but I do have numerous other protanks and they came with spare seals. Are you sure you don't have any spares in the box ?

I only realised too late that it may have been a o-ring so it would be no where to be found now So the ring missing at the top lets the juice leak out the bottom! Hadn't thought about air in the tank. No, I've just had another look at the AeroTank mini box, and there are no spare o-rings in there sadly. I didn't see any on the VE site, but will have another root round, best get a few when I find them! Quite anxious to get back to using the tank, was a much better experience

If it's any consolation I have two Pro Tank 2 Mini's and a PT 3 mini and I've managed to not only wash an O ring from each one down the sink, I've chucked the boxes with the spares in them in the bin when I got them.
Does anyone know a good place to get the right size O rings for the above Clearo's in the UK? I've been looking for ages, I found some on Ebay but I've no idea if they're the correct size.

Hey all, I've found some after a lot of looking around. You can also buy the base ring from this place too, they're based in Manchester so I hope the OP isn't across the pond. O Rings

No, not across the pond I have emailed VE, there are none on the site, but I've yet to hear back....which is quite unusual! I'll have a look at the link, cannot believe it's so hard to find replacements and the AeroTank didn't come with any. Ok, edited to say that I've emailed to ask if they have them, I don't see them listed and I'm not sure on size - if the ProTank ones would fit an AeroTank mini ???
