How about the expanding foam spray that builders and plumbers use. Stand your bottles in the container (maybe rub some vaseline on them first). Spray a bit of foam and it will expand around the bottom of the bottles then harden?? Take the bottles out and you have the holes in the foam.

Yeah I have lol. Definitely a case of less is more. I squirted a bit, thought 'nah, not enough', squirted a bit more, etc, until.... arghhhh

I had a workman in the kitchen he filled a little hole using it. When he left I went in to pop things back and my whole inner kitchen cupboard was foam, I had to start hacking at it.
