Seen as no question is a daft one: what is steeping?? ??? I am as new as you sammie80 but I've read that syeeping is leaving your juices time to develop Seemingly some of them especially custardy ones need the time but fruit ones not so long. I hope I got this right

Yup, Tobacco's also seem to like a long steep. For an example on steeping i recently made a GVC clone (Grants Vanilla Custard clone recipe) Tasted vile straight after mixing lol,but improves with time. I usually use a tiny electric coffee stirrer to mix, then bang in the microwave for 3-4 secs on a 10 ml sample to aid steeping. then its just a case of a daily shake and a wee shot in the microwave for a few secs daily... 3 wks later the Custard is spot on. Oh and welcome.
