Sometimes the boss of the big fiery place leaves bumclouds over our day. Try not to let one day get you down. Look on the bright side, your backups are getting some use.
The chances are the switch on the nucleic pcb has developed a fault. The mechanical switch (the big bit you push) shouldn't fail, although it could be misaligned. The PCB switch is a thin metal cap which makes contact when pressed. Over time these fail due to work hardening of the metal (imagine bending a ring pull back and forward over and over-it snaps). If a replacement can be sourced it shoudn't be too hard to repair.
Hope you can get these problems sorted out.

davyc I need clarification... Did you kill a vamo or a magneto? I've dropped magnetos on to concrete (down the gutter near the vets LOL) and they still fire....vamo on other hand LOL....naw that can be killed just by looking at it

@johanino the magneto is fine, had to rebuild and sort the switch so its fine. The vamo is just worn out, the switch only works when it feels like it. Same as my zmax. Cuts down on the chain vapeing Only thing that died was a kayfun clear tank that cracked but that's sorted thanks to another member on here. Might have to go shopping for another mod now.........

Is that like what was recommended on phil busardos video davyc? I've done that...annoying but easy enough That's the great thing about the magneto - anything it needs to be fixed with is easy...even I can do it!!!

not seen Phil's video on the magneto. I had to strip the switch cos it had jumped threads and the lock ring was jammed. Not too bad to do and its not the first time I have had to do it. I remember the first time well, the switch fell apart and one of the magnets went rolling around the floor that was a scary moment!!!!!!!!
