Dead Ego/Riva battery?

Ever wondered what to do with a dead Ego/ Riva battery? Here is an answer:

Josie, sometimes the modders can make use of dead batteries - just wish someone could find a use for dead atties/cartos

does this work with 14500 batteries? i been meaning to get a charger for them but this would be even better.

As far as I understand it King, the 10440 battery he uses is the same size as an AAA battery, whereas the 14500 is the same as an AA. I don't think you could fit one in a Riva body

yeh looked it up and 130450 fit aswell.

can i have the dead riva dave if there arent any other takers? wouldnt mind giving this ago...along with curtis homemade tank carto would be cool.

They type of batteries in e-cigs otherwise known as LiIon (Li = Lithium)

They can explode if handled incorrectly

FYI a standard battery is Zinc-Carbon, the battery in you mobile is probably a Li Ion.

Old style rechargeables were Ni cads (Ni = Nickle, CAD = Cadmium)

There is also the LiPo (Lithium Polymer) which I beleive it is rumoured is used in the SD keyring.

desoldered it just now and tested the pcb/switch on a 10440 and it flashed 3 times so it actually battery that is gone....shame cos i ordered ego pcb from LF

Thanks for the update king - that battery didn't last long! I hope you are taking some pics to post when you complete the project!

sounds good sam...i was thinking about starting a recycle thread like for dead batteries and parts like innards of ce2s for cartos tanks etc but wasnt sure if it would be well recieved. tbh i dont really know whats possible so dont know what salvagable so maybe not much point.

I'd go ahead and start one in the Classified's King if you want to. . . I've always posted my dead Riva batteries onto Modders for them to do something very clever and technical with!

If someone can make use of them, it's better than just putting them in the recyle bag.
