Somehow bodged the punching (I have big holes - like 3mm or 2mm min) and the carto got stuck...and I mean stuck... One bottom out of the tank and a flood  Praise God no nic overdose like my home made tank forays LOL Sorted it...bottom of tank replaced (which way do they go).... New carto in:) Jane |

Nope washed off quite quickly and always have my baby wipes to hand (and a good supply) just in case of these things happening again..
It was only 3ml this time unlike the home made tank which was at least 5ml

Saw P from UKV tonight. He says the o-rings are dead...Think I somehow nicked them ages ago...
Taken it apart and they look intact but it leaks like crazy :eek:
Can get o-rings (not a prob - local industrial estate) I think....just don't know how to fit them...
Any ideas most appreciated...Looked for vids on youtube - zero

pull the two end caps off the tube and then if you use tweezers you can grab hold and pull the o-rings off the caps.
you can then just push the new inner o-rings into the grooves on the caps and the outter larger ones you can stretch over the caps and they are seated into grooves too
is it an actual lil mama tank you have as i can measure the 0-rings and let you know what size you will need

Got the o-rings but like it still leaked..went to a local seal shop where they measured the o-rings etc etc and gave me four of each new ones....
Think I might have a wee trip back there soon for more o-rings LOL
No sign of the chibi (will need o-rings for that)

where abouts is it leaking.. between the carto and the tank ? they could give you slightly larger O-rings to see if that helps
Chibi doesnt need seals i dont think as the caps are made of rubber type material

Got it sorted (only 4 trips later :eek:)... The 2mm thickness of the outer ring sucks. You just can't get the tank on...the 1.6 mm is a little too thin... Then I had trouble fitting the o-rings on the inner. I think I finally have about 8.5mm and like 1.6mm thickness...they had all the stuff there... I won't tell you how much they cost as like I'm going back for more to sell  ...though might well phone the states for the exact spec Jane |

This is the following info for the old lil mama tanks (apparently the dimensions have since changed a little)
9 x 1.5mm 9x 1.6, D-13 10.82/11 1.78 (BS013N70)
So I was just using 8.5mm and like 1.6 on the inner...no wonder I was having so many probs?
Will take back tomorrow and like try and get 9 x 1.6 or 9/1.5 and then hopefully life should be a lot better...
which maketh me wonder?
Where do you get a tapering drill to make your own tank with?
