Anyone experienced the same??

Hey guys,

So I haven't brought my vape yet as some unfortunate circumstances came up Monday but nevertheless , I had a friend come over who had a aspire cf vv and I put some Joose juice (bubblegum) in the tank to try it. My 1st ever vape, after trying it I started to choke due to throat hit.

Afterwards my throat felt really weird , has this happened to anyone else who had their 1st go at vaping? It kinda put me off. Would love to hear your feedback guys.

Yes that's not an unusual occurrence initially. It will soon pass, remember your first smoke

And that was a step up or two from a starter kit level vape, you can have different strengths of liquid and variable power so even if id did persist you could tune you vape to your liking.

Quite normal ! My OH put his back out he choked that much !!! Don't suck too hard ! Slower , gentler pulls are much better .........

like jaysey says, its slightly different from smoking, its less of a quick hard drag and more a slower pull.

don't be put off, it won't be like this for long at all and before you know it you'll be off the stinks and vaping lovely aromas instead of smelling like an ashtray all the time

Have a drink handy. PG dries the throat somewhat

Thanks for the feedback so far guys,great to hear it wasn't just me. If I remember correctly it was actually a mod with a nautilus mini tank but I remember him carrying a aspire cf vv also ( sorry had a few to drink) lol . It was at 4 something watts so I don't know what volts that is .

I did like the vapor production tho as I have previously tried these crappy e-lite lookalikes .

We've recently introduced 2 couples to vaping. Both men had the coughing but the women didn't.

Do women smokers draw differently to men?

I think it was more a case of the women actually listened when we told them they would need to draw differently to when smoking.

Hehe it was 50/50 but like a previous topic I posted, I have asthma and it did make me a lil weezy. Perhaps my next order should be 100% vg. Now then, those 8 10ml testers to get through......

I figure that would be a good move. How does your throat react to the inhalers, the info I've read says they contain a quantity of PG too??

I'm quite a severe asthmatic and prefer 50/50 pg VG.
80pg/20vg mixes make my chest go tight.
I mix quite a lot of my own juice now and either mix 50/50 or 30/70
When you first start to vape I'd reccomend mouth to lung inhale rather than full lung inhale.

out of interest OneZeroNyne,

did you do a mouth to lung inhale (suck it into your mouth & then down to lungs) or direct lung inhale?

direct lung inhales on ecigs can seem especially harsh if the airflow isn't right.

...just thinking out loud (very dangerous for me xD)

Ripshod I have no reaction to inhalers other than they open my airways after 5-10mins.

ah ok

its probably because you're very new to it.

some of my friends sometimes ask for a go on mine when we are out.

I've normally got a small mechanical mod with a low ohm coil (basically a cloud making machine), i always warn them, and they always always cough their lungs up.

I think its just a case of getting used to it and starting out easy
