I have often thought that we should be raising our mods to one another in acknowledgement rather like Volkswagen camper owners do on the road. It could take the place of how people who smoked a pipe were considered respectable and were often seen using it to greet one another or to give directions etc. (see Bill Baileys sketch on this) and as far as types are concerned the same regard was given whether it was a standard pipe or a meerschaum so the same should apply to mods.

Funnily enough as a constant stinky smoker while driving my car windows are a lot cleaner but I am getting more condensation as I no longer need to drive about with the window open. This not only helps with my fuel economy but also I've noticed my neck and shoulder no longer hurt as much from sitting in a constant draught.
