the one thing you might want to think about with the sleeping baby is what type of headphone you get closed back headphones dont leek anywhere near as much as open backed headphones if you like a warm sound senhnhizers are also worth a good look from£60 upwards What do you think of Dr Dre beats??? Cheaper than the german ones I can't pronounce, but seem to be for multitasking. I just want decent ones for when I'm hovering , and in the bath.
Don't buy Dr Dre , they really are bad , you're just putting money in Dre's pocket for rubbish headphones. Tom you do realise that BOSE stands for Buy Other Sound Equipment !! I have found that headphones are a bit like E-Liquids , they seem to be very subjective. What sounds good to one will sound bad to someone else.If you can go along to somewhere where you can listen to some different sets and decide from there. One tip I would give you is take along some of your favourite music ( at the highest quality you can ) that way you can really listen to the differences and see for yourself which headphones sound right for your music choices. Andy i only said bose as a joke as sammy obviously meant sennheiser. Im clueless so just going on youtube reviews. A few reviewers have praised the m50s for exactly what I'm looking for. but you are 100% right. best bet is to pop into town have a listen to a bunch and decide thanks

Tom Mr Lairey uses the ones you linked to earlier, in his studio and he loves them. He used to use Sennheiser's when DJ-ing, but loves the Audio Technica's for production... no idea if that helps you at all, cans are cans to me

If I was wanting a pair of headphones plugged in , not too much thump bose would be a great choice , but wireless is a different story.
I've got a pair on now, don't even know the make , bloody excellent they are but cant move more than 6 inches lol.

I use a high end Denon system, when I need to use headphones I have an old pair of Seinhaussers, however I live in a maisonette above a shop with only a pub next to me, no one to piss off with volume!

sammy13 brilliant until Friday or Saturday, I can hear every track that the band plays, usually badly! Hence the occasional need for headphones. Made me chuckle on Monday when I went out to put the rubbish in the recycle bin and the Landlord of the pub complained that my music was loud until 11 pm on Sunday night, pointed out that the bands he had hired on both Friday and Saturday were sh-te and not even in tune let alone synch and I had to put up with it till midnight on both nights!
