Help with 0mg liquid

Hi, 

I've been vaping for just over a year. I started on the medium strength nicotine, then went to low strength and then got rid of all the tobacco flavours. A few weeks ago, I decided I'd quite like to get down to 0mg juice. So, the last lot of liquid I bought, I decided to chuck in a few 0mg bottles in my favourite flavours (1 cherry, 1 mint, 1 vanilla) as well as the usual 8mg bottles in these same flavours. Anyway, I've tried the 0mg and they are all...well... disgusting. To the point where it makes me feel a bit ill using them. The 8mg liquid in the corresponding flavours are fine as always. 

Is this a common problem? Are there any zero-nicotine vapers who can give me any advice or tips? Brands, flavours, equipment that make 0mg liquid less...yuck?

If it helps, I use Vape Escape or Grizwald's liquids. I use a bog-standard Innokin clearomiser and a bog-standard eGo-C battery. I'm sure some of you are recoiling in horror at my Luddite approach to vaping  but it's done fine for me so far. However, I'd love to get nicotine-free so I'm open to any and all recommendations.

don't know if it would help but have you thought about trying half and half which would bring you down to 4mg? BTW congratulations on your journey so far, I've been cutting down my strength as well. Nothing wrong with your kit, if it suits you that's the important thing.

I think there is something wrong with your 0mg juice, I mix my own and as an experiment mixed 7.2mg & 0mg of the same flavours and left them unmarked.
I cant tell the difference, so once my stock of nic base has been used up I will be nic free

I think 0mg juice needs at least twice the steeping time of 10mg juice. This is so noticeable that I have settled on mixing 1mg juice rather than 0mg. You will also notice a lack of throat hit but you can substitute clouds or flavour for throat hit.

Great advice given above. I'm not even close to no nic, so can't really offer much, but a jump from 8 to 0 is quite a big jump... maybe try mixing the 8 and 0 together to give you 4? Although, don't do the entire bottles as if your 0 nic is not right you don't want to ruin the 8

All well and good dropping to the 0mg nic. However, as I have recently found to my dismay it's always wise to keep one atty stocked with double the nic you're used to as a fallback.

I went down to 0 mg mixing my own and it tasted almost the same, a little less bite, but I remember that some vendors double the amount of flavour concentrate for zero nic juice and it may be worth getting in touch with them to find out if this is what's happening. If so you could dilute with PG & VG.

As Ripshod said keep some juice with nic on stand by rather than do what I did and have the odd 40 Marlboro Red binge.

My friends been using with 0 mg and says it was the easiest transition from nicotine without loosing taste and no headaches.
