Got my orchid V4 today, need to rake it part to clean but can't get the tank section apart. a Any idea how to get this apart? stuck it in boiling water, no joy and my fingers now ache, other than asking the old lady next door I'm and its stuck..! Steel to thin for tools, vice. Put it in the freezer?

Try with rubber gloves on or wrap an elastic band around each piece, gives much better grip

Still bloody stuck, in the freezer it goes. Noticed it looks the same size as the Kayfun plastic have a spare of them so may cut it out or try vape it out if freezer don't work...!

Don't do what I normally do with things and spend ten minutes swearing and twisting like a lunatic before realising I'm turning it the wrong way I've cut down an old inner tube and that normally works for a better grip

Try ipad cable like this but holding a loop in each hand squeezing each pair of ends tight. Had to hold all ends in one hand for photo Then just twist loops in opposite directions whilst squeezing.

Right took it out of freezer this morning and one side came straight of, I'll take the credit for that. One side still didn't want to budge and the award for that side goes to you....as pic below.

Must be more than me wondering "why bother" The atty would be clean enough with a hot wash surely?

My method is run under cold water. Dry atty with towel, dry hands with towel and shout nasty words while twisting.
I really need to make some grips xD

That's always my concern djs. Along with messing the orings up. Is there usually a lot needs cleaning in the threads?

I guess there could be some machine oil in there but it's a personal choice. Handy to know methods to get them apart regardless especially with PMMA tanks should you wish to use tank cracker juice
