Squape build

After a few weeks of success my squape building had gone tits up again. I can make a lovely looking coil out of .35 kanthal wicked with cotton wool which reads 1.3ohm on my ipv2.

The issue is that it is burning at anything over 11w. I have cleaned it and rebuilt it several times now and cannot see what the problem is.

If I go for a lower ohm build it seems to be better but I am fed up with the juice consumption at sub-ohm.

The coils I make look good and I am not doing anything different to usual. It just seems that unless I sub-ohm it goes wrong. I am not bothered about going above 11w except that I am not getting a full filling vape.

Any ideas where I might be going wrong?

The problem will probably be the wicking. If you've got the 'W' deck give it a try. If you're using the 'W' deck then maybe too much wick in the channels.

I'm limited to 10.5 watts till I get my 'W'.

And before anyone says it, yes, I haven't binned it just yet, giving great flavour so long as I'm careful

Squapes... Never has an RBA given me so much of a challenge... Dry >>> Wet>>> Perfect>>>Wet>>>Tissues
When you get it right it's oh so right...
The Reloaded version is better in that even when you do overwick, it doesn't dump the juice through the centre pin and you can adjust the air flow...
Having given up a long while ago, thanks to zedsdead encouraging, I finally tamed the SquapeR and have one of the two V1s playing just fine... For the first time since getting it, I don't have the KF3.1 in primary circulation.

Had high hopes for the Squape Reloaded with rope and mesh build but have been disappointed, only one try though so will persevere.

Have to agree with tomj777 regarding cotton build, I do use my KF3.1 when I want a silent vape though as the Sqaupe is so bloody noisy.

Have the squape r ehpro clone, and followed your lead tomj777.   Dry >>> wet >>> perfect   Gorgeous ! But now tissues are flying, and the juice is indeed dumping out the centre pin. 
Have tried raising the coil, lowering the coil, thin wick ( cotton) thick wick, in the channels a little, not in the channels aargh. 
Would appreciate any tips, if nothing else to preserve my sanity.
