Having heard sonic bangs, the sound track is definitely not one, or indeed several! It really does sound like fireworks or gunfire.

We live about 7 miles from an Army training ground and firing range, so our dogs are quite used to the sound of gunfire, but not fireworks or "mysterious bangs", and I happened to be walking them at the time these bangs were heard. Both of them stopped in their tracks and stood quite still until they had stopped. That is why my immediate reaction was that they were fireworks.
