So far here on the west coast its been high winds and heavy rain overnight, followed by more high winds and heavy rain this morning, followed by some hailstones, then a little thunder and lightning, some sleet, then back to heavy rain all accompanied by more high winds.
Its just like summer lol.

It's blowing here & the rain is heavy on & off & damned cold. Those nasty large water drops are the weather bombs, especially when they go down your neck.

Don't know if it was the 20 X 6" screws that I screwed the Vape Cave to the floor with yesterday or because the wind was not as bad a forecast, but the shed stayed where it should have and I can now get on with fitting it out.
Weather forecasts are all "worst case scenarios" these days, so some will get the worst, but most will not.
We have a 300 foot, forest covered hill between us and any westerly's, so we are sheltered from the worst of any of these gales.
It is the southerly's and north winds that hammer us and the cheeky wee sou'wester's that can give us a good kicking too.

We were forecast very high winds for today, and I worried about it for the last few days (surrounded by trees)... ended up being the calmest of the week... hope that hasn't jinxed the rest of the week. Anyway take care all of you who are far further up north, and in the direct line. |
