If an item is incorrectly priced in Tesco they have to honour that price. How does something like this affect Amazon buyers, do they get that same protection?

The report I read said that if the buyer received a delivery notification it should be honoured, so will be interesting to see what Amazon do.

Well I recieved an email from amazon saying we have cancelled your order as the seller set a incorrect price.
To my understanding if something is advertised at a price surely you should get it at that price?
Would you accept it if the shelf price is one price but the till says a higher price?

Apparently, one guy was being sent his multiple purchase of cameras, cost him £3, should have cost £16000. Amazon spokesman quote.... "We responded quickly and were able to cancel the vast majority of orders placed on these affected items immediately and no costs or fees will be incurred by sellers for these cancelled orders. "We are now reviewing the small number of orders that were processed and will be reaching out to any affected sellers directly."

I caught it on the news earlier, flavourtank & the seller was packing up the items, he was not happy.
As I see it, as it was a glitch with the pricing system that's used, then orders that have gone out should be paid for in full by the software company.

Having worked for a well known online travel agent, we had a clause in our terms and conditions that covered our backsides in these situations. I think you'll find that Amazon have a similar clause

If an item is incorrectly priced in Tesco they have to honour that price. How does something like this affect Amazon buyers, do they get that same protection? Sadly they don't have to honour the price legally. If an item is priced incorrectly it means nothing either in a shop or on the internet. Supermarkets tent to 'give in' because they consider it good customer relations. On the internet there is a grey area, if the order is excepted and dispatched, they would have to ask for the extra money back. Only know this because there was a article in the papers about shop in Trafford Centre that made a balls of the prices and blamed a trainee. A smarty legal bod explained, if its a mistake nothing you can do, if its misrepresentation the shop is goosed.

Which basically blocks the customer from using the funds until either: they do take the payment, they reverse the authorisation or the authorisation expires (2 or 3 days). I'm not saying it's right, but it's how the large online retailers work...
