Me again, sorry :-[
I bought a mains USB charger today in Sainsburys. It works for my Kobo e-reader but will not charge up my Titan batteries?
I thought that any mains/USB charger would work? Do i need to buy a specific one?
This vaping adventure is costing me more than tobaco at the mo, lol!

It probably supplies the wrong amount of current. My SDK charger only does 100mA, but the Riva one can supply 500mA - the two aren't interchangeable.

...and don't keep apologising, that's what this forum's here for. Send a PM to a vendor and ask if they have the one you need, unless one happens to read this thread!

Hi karma. You will find all the vendors do USB mains plugs for about £5. Alternatively you can get a mains powered USB hub with several ports for a bit more, which personally I find a better bet as I can plug several things into this at the same time. A lot of people have them and perhaps somebody will be along with a link for one of them.

No, the one I got doesn't seem to be on the website. It seems to be an instore only offer reduced from £14.99 to £4.49. It is black with two slotes for USBs and says that it is surge protected. On the back it says 13A, 250V. I just thought they would all be the same?

How do you know that this one will work ok for e-cigs? Well karma, lots of us use this hub and no one has had a problem with it yet. The plugs the vendors sell are all pretty much the same so will work with anything. On the one you have, look for the output figures, what you are looking for is something that says something like this: OUTPUT DC 5.0V 500mA (or possibly 400mA) If yours says 100mA it should still work but will take a long time to charge your battery.

Nope, all it says is 13A 250V. i've chucked the packaging out so can't check there. As I said it charged my e-book no probs but when i tried to charge the e-cig the battery light stayed green as in already charged but it wasn't.
May invest in the hub. ho hum am spending more on this than rollies, don't tell my DH lol!

karma, since vaping I've learned a fair bit about volts amps wattages etc, but still far from being an expert. But IMHO (more than happy for anyone to tell me I'm wrong), I'd say 13A 250V is too powerful to charge your e-cig. It would be a bit like trying to push 13 amps through a 5amp lighting circuit.

Ok, probably just as well it was surge protected, i'd have been a bit pi**ed off if i'd blown up my e-cig. at least it's working for my Kobo1
