I've Found the FT Coils Great for Re-Doing Kanger Heads & Have a Fair Amount of 'em in Me Box! Like You, Firing 'em Up Wiv an MVP2, & As Said Above, You Can Check Resistance on That. Go For it! You Wait....You'll Soon Be Twisting Their R/NR/R Wire Together & Making Your Own DIY 'NatureVape'-esque Micro-coils! (Annoyingly Tho'.......I Still Find the Bloody Things Look Neater & More Even Than the Coils I Wind Meself!?!)

I can coil...........just about but I'm hoping those coiling pen thingies will be my lifesaver! the kuro coilers? i'm going to be very bitter if they aren't miraculousI buy fasttech ready made coils, have loads of their microcoils and their r-nr-r coils, and I have the r-nr-r wires as I have a fair amount of ceramic attys and drippers, totally love them! No wonder your struggling Pepperty I would try the NR-R-NR......tends to work better

Yes GunJack that's what I'm planning to use soon as I finally got my hands on a gg penelope and i'm hoping to rebuild with microcoil and cotton (spotted one youtube vid on 'how to') so I just yank out the silica, compress and fire. I just wish that fasttech would make more robust nr-r-nr wires as these really are single use but I suppose I can live with that as its easier than trying to splice/weld my own me and my zapper are not friends.....

I tend to use them as-is, and can then normally re-wick once with cotton once the silica has had it

yes, good thinking - I suppose I can, as long as I keep the coil up at top of ceramic I should be able to dry burn and re-thread I recently bought some no res wire to try and make my own nice sturdy nr-r-nr coil but not done well with zapping so I may try and just twist the joins as the penny ceramic is lovely and large (compared to divers and ebarrons) I really need to learn my knots! that would make life and joints easier, but I cant seem to absorb the info from watching youtube vids ??? I'm assuming that if I made a nice decent microcoil on the penny it could be like a naturevape version, dry burn, rethread cotton and months of use before redoing? I'd be willing to spend a decent amount of time setting it up, if that way the case

I used to make my own coils (evod/protank), but found the FT ones fine and timesaving, just one tip, give them the blowtorch experiance first to stop funky taste.

that's sweet of you @tazmania441 finding that for me, but I still cant really work it out..... can someone teach me at next vapefest?! a nice demonstration would be gratefully received! *edit* OK I promise to sit and try it over the weekend, this is the way I want to do it as you dont end up with a horrible massive twisted clump of wire which is bound to be a devil to position on a ceramic with a matted clump of wire......
