It's getting better, in the sense that she's no longer hissing across the room, and that Frankie's had enough of her, so if she hisses at him, he walks upto her and hisses in her face, if she hits him, he hits her back.
Lumen is a right athlete though, always thought Frankie was active but she's on another level. She's able to jump 1.6m onto the top of one of my cupboards, she keeps climbing up the curtains, and when we're having a bath, she walk around the rim of the bath, this is a space that shampoo bottles barely stand in. She's a right handful.

Just wait until she starts playing ''find the toes under the bubbles'' with you and falls into the bath. Nothing like a wet and angry cat running up your bare chest (and other bits) to get you out of the water very smartly!
The joys of parenting a cat are endless...

She likes to lean into you when you scratch/pat her. Not a good idea as lyn found out in the bath lol

At last, something i know about.... Adult cats hate kittens... and thats a general rule. Females hate them more than males due to the process of weaning, and that goes for any female cat, it doesn't have to be the mother of the kitten. As you have a male who looks on your home as his territory, his nose is put out that he now has to share it with another cat, although being a male he will be curious about the kitten, and she in turn sees it as her place to introduce herself, when she is ready of course, to him, so she too will have a hiss, spit whatever.. Remember, its also instinctive for a kitten to react to a male cat, as the kitten will still smell of Mum and in nature, a male will attempt mating with a kitten, often causing its demise, as the first move is to sink teeth into the back of the neck, hence in feral colonies, mother cats keep their young close to them longer than the 6 weeks or so, domestic cat owners generally allow. Had that cat been another male, it could have caused trouble later on, but its a female, so less likely to be much of a problem. If the existing cat steers clear, the kitten could see this 'backing off' as a challenge, after all its instinctive in them to find out who is top cat, and sometimes it proves to be them... It takes time and patience to introduce a new cat into the household, and a lot of 'think cat - not human'. If I can be of any help, don't hesitate to shout out. My day job is running a branch of Cats Protection, which I have done for almost 20 years now, so cats are my speciality.. in fact I wish I knew as much about vaping....lol By the way... a lot of good advice in the posts above.. they know their cats too...

as the first move is to sink teeth into the back of the neck That's horrible I get upset when I see male mallards pestering females. I hate nature sometimes.

I think a lot of is has to do with Frankie no longer being laid back to her, so if Lumen pipes up he goes and "has a word".
