Got my M65 this morning. In among the bits in the box is a softer replacement fire button cap. Having seen a couple of reports about the hard buttons breaking I want to swap mine out, before it breaks at the most inconvenient time possible. But how??
No instructions in the manual, and I can't find any on the smok site or youtube.
Has anyone with an M50/M65 managed to work it out yet?

I've opened the top cap to have a look. The board seems to be fixed with some rectangular silicon pads. The dilemna is: Do I take a risk and hope those pads stay sticky???

Sorted it @zuza Remove the battery Remove the top plate (it feels restricted by the thick wires but it does move out of the way). Holding the mod upside down keep pressing the fire button til the retaining plate falls out. The fire button will just fall out of the front. Replace with the button you want. Only replace the plate if you're using the hard button. The soft button doesn't need it and it could short the board's output. Reassemble and done

I like the softer button. It feels better, and the clickiness is gone. The hard button seemed to rattle too, part of that is the button itself and part is down to the retaining plate.
One other thing I've noticed that I do like is the way it fires.
Mine is at 20watts at the mo. When I fire it it shoots straight to 4.7volts then back down to settle at 4.0 - could this be a little known 'preheat' feature?

Bookmarked for when/if my button breaks. Picked mine up from the post office this morning. Running very nicely with a new subtank with 0.5ohm stock head. Great purchase!

It's got to be on the horizon, even with the zinc alloy finish these are easy to damage. It'll either happen soon, or it won't happen at all. (Generic answer) Did you manage to switch your button over okay @zuza? Mine has just passed the pub test. LOOOOOAAAAADDDDDSS of interest!! I agree dickyg, despite the couple of negative reviewers I've seen these are monster mods Running at 45watts on a half charged battery I still haven't seen it reduce the power - yet!!
