Okay I don't really need a new shiny mod but I want one and I would like some help from you experts in AAEC land. I do have some requirements, all of which must be met and they are: 1. No variable voltage - I still can't get my head round all that LR/SR/HR gubbins so add in VV and I'm a total brain-dead moron. So a single voltage (3.7v) will be fine on the basis I'm used to it and I know no different. 2. Must be silver - I already have a black SD MkII and black rivas - bored of them, I want something that makes you go "Ooooh! Shiny! Aaaahh! Pretty! Hello my precious!". 3. Should be able to stand upright on it's bottom - just because! 4. Must be 510 fitting. 5. Must work well with CE3 smokymizers XL (2.4-2.7ohms); 3.5ml Clear Giant Cartomizer V2 (2.3-2.5ohms) and 510DCT (1.5ohms). I know I said I don't understand ohms - I don't - but these are what I buy and unless someone can explain what the impact of higher/lower ohms ratings will mean in terms of vape experience/battery life etc in words of one syllable then this is what I will be sticking to! 6. Mechanical not electronic. No LED displays or press the button 27 times to see what day it is. I can cope with pressing a button to vape, anymore than that and I'm going to have to carry the sodding instruction manual round with me to remember how many times to press a button. 7. When fitting my chosen clearomiser/tank it must fit right up to the edge of the mod - none of that gappy stuff between mod and clearomiser - you know what I mean - like a clearomiser on a riva without a cone - you see a gap where it goes in and then out again - okay if its a mm or so thats fine but not half a centimetre or more with threads showing. (Did I say I was picky!) So I've done some searching and looked at the mods listed in the poll and below but I don't know if they are any good, likely to be back in stock anytime this century or whether there are any others I've not come across so what would you suggest? GG Stealth e-cigz.co.uk/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=15&products_id=196 - lovely, possibly a bit utilitarian looking, sold out (do I wait?) GG Slim e-cigz.co.uk/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=15&products_id=82 - definitely has the looks, does it have the power to be a main vape kit? Again, worth waiting for? 510-N www.ecigwizard.com/shop/en/35-bw510n - cheap, not really very pretty, actually quite tacky looking so doubt it will be this one. Little Gem Sidewinder www.liberty-flights.co.uk/product.asp?id=82 - again maybe a bit utilitarian, does the switch really knock the connector off centre - that'll bug me so if true - probably a no go on that one unless it is an exceptional piece of kit. LF Indulgence - www.liberty-flights.co.uk/product.asp?id=160 - very very pretty but it will have that gappy thing going on I think (see point 7 above) so that's it struck off the list. Megalodon www.mojurepublic.com/products/Megalodon-(The-Don)--**NEW-VERSION**.html - not really pretty is it but it appears to be versatile - have as a dinky kit or extend it. Prodigy V3.1 www.cloud9vaping.co.uk/epages/yxve46fvrnud.sf/en_GB/?ObjectPath=/Shops/yxve46fvrnud/Products/PS-V3.1-HOLO - shiny, yes. bottom stander - yes, reliability and experience - read some mixed reviews though Icon V1.1 www.cloud9vaping.co.uk/epages/yxve46fvrnud.sf/en_GB/?ObjectPath=/Shops/yxve46fvrnud/Categories/PS/ICON1.1 - much same as above - never heard of these before. ProVape 1 enjuice.com/index.php?route=product/product&path=105&product_id=1303 - more matte than shiny but everyone raves about it. So what would you recommend? What will meet my needs? What batteries are best and give best life/experience for whichever you select. Any other mods that you think should be thrown in the pot?

Might have known the first suggestion would be something I'd missed . I shall have a look at that, thanks Perpy. Now come on the rest of you don't be shy. You get to join in the fun of deciding what to spend money on without actually dipping your hand in your purse/wallet. What could be better than that? (Rhetorical question!)

to meet your criteria i guess the stealth or silver bullet would be my vote but i didnt vote stealth as i still believe that VV is the way to go. it actually take the guess work OUT of choosing what ohms to get as you can simply adjust the volts to suit you. so with that in mind its gotta be a chrome provari, its simply so beautiful and my all day vape but if you dont want the complexity then how about a infinity pro ? VV is adjusted by a wheel thing to note with some of the bottom button mods you have listed is they cant be stood up vertically

Well I have just seen an old GGTS (no. 65) up for sale on ECF for $990 So from an investment point of view it's a no brainer! What number is yours Chrissie To give a sensible answer though, I wanted something similar and just waited until a bargain came up in the classifieds. I got one of these for £30 on UKV: www.ivapour-elixir.co.uk/the-bb/the-alpha.htmlAbsolutely bomb proof US made from aircraft grade aluminium and I love it. The switching method doesn't suit everyone though. Mine is the black one though - shinies tend to fetch more!

Some great thoughts there from some wise people. The cube - mmm quite nice but a bit blokey looking (if you know what I mean). Odd isn't it - send me to a diy shed and I lose myself drooling over the power tools and am rarely found by the soft furnishings yet at the mo with the e-cigs I want pretty! Stealth - it is prettier than the cube but still a tad blokey and also out of stock. But it still stays in the top 3. as you can simply adjust the volts to suit you. Gordy, I can assure you, while for you and the majority of vapers out there adjusting voltage would be simple, for me it wouldn't! I really have a mental block when it comes to the ohms/volts/resistance thing. So I'm just going to be an ostrich and stick my head in the sand and ignore them Now the Silver Bullet and the Alpha - same range both absolutely lovely but the SB wins hands down for its elegant simplicity - so the simplicity is a match for me, elegant not so much but a girl can dream. So far the SB is the winner I think and according to Toby at iVapour the shiny chrome will be in stock next week. So unless someone can come up with something more beautiful and as simple I think that might be the way I'm going.

$990!!! Good lord Dave . . . that's a price and a half! Well, I love my Silver Bullets Tizer, until I got a Provari they were my favourite mod, over and above the GGTS if I'm honest, because of the simplicity of design and the lovely activation button. Toby is a great Vendor to deal with I've found as well.

is the SB diameter much larger than the provari, or are they about the same? for some reason i see it as quite a chunky mod

A bit rounder, but shorter than the Provari Gordy . . . Provari circumference 7.5cm & SB circumference 9cm. The SB is about 8mm shorter than the Provari . . . which weighs 126 grams, whilst the SB comes in at 112 grams. Is there anything else I can measure/weigh for you? Edit: for another senior moment. Edit 2: You all know why.

Wot you measuring with? the diameter of me Riva is 14mm, and the Provari looks a dang sight fatter than that? John
