Just to add to this point, I found enlarging the hole improves them and also you may want to use cartos without the hole pre-punched. Personally I didn't fancy attacking them with a hammer and nail so I got one of these handy devices:

I must admit that when I got one of these I couldn't resist one of their SS drip tips - they are very cool in the mouth compared to other metal tips. Not that I am trying to tempt you or anything

Really I have one tinker they are sooo cool....makes life sooo much easier (even better than the saddle valve ) and wizard sell them now as well (och I just checked and out of stock at wizard - maybe worth giving them a ring but it's here if you want to go with wizard...

I reckon soon EVERY vendor will be selling those punches

As they are out of stock at the moment I have clicked the button asking to be emailed when they have them in again They do look good Johanino and it is good to read from someone who has tried them

I also took a sneaky look at the ss drip tips (it is that Dave's fault > blatantly tempting a gal with sparkling shiny things ).
