Top tip Pepperty, keep some menthol in reserve. And a dripper. Take a toot of that stuff, everything will taste like ambrosia afterwards I've heard of this happening where your taste buds don't taste anymore is that common ?? I shall keep my menthol vapes in then

<<I have 3 tanks on the go > at any given time AND I still get bored and fancy a flavour I haven't loaded? Do you not use a dripper ?? I don't know how to yet but it seems a bit like hard work having to keep dripping all the time though I'm up for trying anything if I learn

It's a common thing among vapers, 'vapers tongue'. Our taste buds get used to the eliquid we use, so that stuff you were vaping a few days ago that tasted like the nectar of the gods, now is more like sandpaper. Switch out for something opposite (savoury/sweet) or something you'd never use in a month of Sundays. Re-educate your taste buds, then after that thankfully brief soujourn try your old standby again and... yum!

I swear to the spaghetti monster I have a bottle of menthol that hasn't left my side in, must be 2 years. 30 ML of the stuff. It must be like petrol by now. Still, when I get a bit of vaper tongue, out comes the dripper, few drops of Mr Menthol and suddenly my face is lit up with dormant sinus channels Ha ha love it

So its best not to stay on one liquid for to long then because manabushi i could vape all week but I've been swapping around a lot this week

True @yavape, but for instance if you swap one custard for another, or one fruit flavour for another... you see the pattern. Try something radically different, menthol or mint flavours can clean your palate if you use thick juices otherwise. A cheap solution is to, literally, rinse your mouth out with something that will wake up your taste buds : run some lemon juice from a jif! It'll taste like sin but could awake those dormant buds.

As an adjunct, I'm given now and again to - seriously - sticking the old tongue out in the mirror and if it looks coated, give it a gentle brush with the toothbrush and paste. If your digestion is a bit iffy, it'll be coated, so that's a sign to look at what you're eating too.

A gargle with mouthwash helps and doesn't taste like sin!

Ahhh well I broke up the manabush abuse with snake oil so hopefully I'll be alright , I'll make sure I have different flavours in so I can change from dessert to tobacco to fruit to menthol and do on thanks

I like this thread, its a reminder to us vapers 'old skool' that some things are eternal Even Grants Custard can taste of old socks if you're acclimatised to it, which is a shame for such a superb eliquid.

I am a bit like Pepperty - however don't have as many on the go than when I started vaping - now it's about 3ish - will always love banana - the rest changes - though I love my fruits - nowadays strawberry cream - oh so yummie @yavape an easy to mix and one you might enjoy is 505 black currant and 50% absynthe - so for a 50ml juice = 10ml bc - 10ml absynthe adn 40ml flavourless liquid - adnit's basically ready to vape after mixed

I'm odd (in case you haven't noticed...) My main vape eliquid is a mix of base, vg, and ethyl maltol. Mainly because you can mix 100ML of it in 5 minutes, shake and bake (well no bake) and it's vapeable. When I do grab a flavoured juice, it's fresh to me and either yum or bum (see my thread 'Yuk!' on mixology) Vaping mediocrity go!
