I have found Avast a great Anti Virus system over the years, very user friendly and doesn't seem to try and get involved in everything. Does what it' supposed to and only notifies you about something when it needs to.

Glad it worked well for you.  Before you gift it, make sure to update it from (Microsoft) and install something like AVG Free or another ( NOT Microsoft security) free anti-virus. I'm sure she will be very happy with her new machine. Cheers I Downloaded Avira as I am used to this prog I have it on my other laptop. I just so happen to have a desktop PC upstairs then went haywire and I couldn't sort it even after taking it to PC 'specialists'. Could be in for refurbishment now.  |
