I think it's time to upgrade my xsmart charger and add a couple more batteries to my single purple efest. I think I'll be grabbing a couple of vtc4 or vtc5's unless someone recommends better batteries, my main query is which battery chargers are good and which aren't.
So which chargers do you guys recommend?

I use the Nitecore i4 you can find it in the link above that Greg posted, the D4 is a newer version with a digital display whereas the i4 just shows the charge status with LED's. The battery people seem to be recommending now is the Samsung 25r link

I have a LUC4 charger and it's been spot on, I wouldn't recommend though as others have had overcharging issues with them.

Had a nitecore i4 for over a year now and it's superb, used daily and has never missed a beat. Would recommend to anyone.

My XTAR VP1 has been perfect for me. There have been times when I've wished for four bays but to be honest, unless I'm playing 18350's then, even with three or four mods active at any one time, I'm comfortable with two. You can pick up a XTAR VP4 for a similar price

VTC4s are 30 A and it "seems" that the 25Rs are quite conservery rated and many people prefer them as they don't get as hot as the VTC under stress. I have both and prefer the VTC4, but the 25R is better value ATM for upto 50 W VW mods IMO.

At present I've just the one mech and an ipv2x which is 60w, that being said I very rarely go above 35w so I guess the 25Rs should be ok.

Ive took a look at a few reviews and specs and think I may go for a nitecore d2 or d4. If im reading this right the d2 says its Output current: 500mA x 2, and the d4 says Output current: 375mA x 4 / 750mA x 2. So the d4 is faster, a little bit higher priced but probably better to invest in the faster 4 bay than the slower 2bay.

Give Torchy a shout on UKV & ask if he has any Xtar SP2 left, £15 to your door, only 2 bay but it's fast... up to 2A, ideal for VTC4/5, doesn't cheat on the charge cycle & doesn't overcharge, 4.2v on the button.
I've got 3 of them plus a VP1 that tomj777 mentioned.
