So quick question for our resident battery experts (or anyone else that wants to offer advice) VapingBad Ripshod... my vaporflask clone is my first dual battery mod... do I need to make sure that I rotate the position of the batteries or is it not necessary?

Not necessary, but you do want them at the same voltage when you put them in.

I keep pairs together and check the voltage is the same with each battery, never had a problem with any paired batts, they always go on and come off at the same voltage, I always charge them together. Probably going a bit ott, but it works for me.

Probably going a bit ott, but it works for me. That's what I'm doing car147, just needed to make sure I didn't need to worry about changing them from left to right each time... I think I drink too much wine to cope with that much organisation!

Can't remember where i read it likely ECF but there was something about swapping them round so that batt 1 became batt 2 and vice versa making sure they were married pairs it was on a sigelei 100w thread that much I am sure of. Apart from never going above 35w's one of the reasons I stick to single battery mods is the battery monitoring part needed for dual setups my memory is not the best thanks to meds so play safe .

I had read that somewhere as well, but seems a bit ott for me, as long as the batteries are at the same voltage i would not worry too much, the case is entirely different where Li-Poly cells are concerned, as in Radio Control where it would be advisable to switch them around as you always want matched pairs, otherwise they have been known to vent, and it isn't pretty

Swapping the order of batteries is a myth, I searched for evidence and couldn't find any to support the theory, no two batteries are identical and there will always be tiny differences in performance. If there was any substance to this you would find that the batteries at one end of multi-battery packs always failed first. These are used in electronic vehicles, power-tools, lap-tops and thousand of other products so there would be a lot of evidence.

With the batteries you are using lairey you can happily just put one battery in if you want to in either bay (I`ve tried it), it will still work absolutely fine. Dont feel that two batteries are essential with the 25r ones or similar quality

If the batteries are in parallel (I think they are in the vapor flask) I can't see any problem. If they're in series play it safe and pair the batteries.

You should pair (same battery, bought at the same time charged & used together) with both, you just don't need to swap the order around, but it does no harm either.
