I'm suffering from a cold, but will put on a brave face and do my best to demolish a bottle of Merlot later on Pepperty although I doubt I'll be able to catch you up as you have such a good head start!

vaguely remember Friday evening where I fell into a gin based time vortex and suddenly it's Sunday and all my money has de-materialised.

Ah, gin = mother's ruin! That's the trouble with a bottle of spirits, isn't it!? Is it just me, or can I dimly remember that the equivalent price of a bottle spirits in the good ol' days was so high as to be prohibitive as a daily/weekly drink, whereas nowadays it's cheaper to buy a bottle of vodka than go out to the pub for four pints and a bag of crisps? Daft, but very pleasant, all the same

Now I need the gin because i don't recognise the world outside my door and despair that we have lost precious freedoms that were hard won by working people.
