After much debating with myself I actually plucked up courage to go to the Dentist. Go Me!

I have 2 Wisdom teeth that needed attention, I admit I was scared stiff he was going to tell me they would have to come out.
After the xray- he showed me the results, not bad as I suspected, so no extraction necessary, just a clean up

I go next month and i know he is gonna say i need some crowns   got away with fillings the last few times, maybe i should cut out the pork scratchings

I used to dread going to the dentist, mainly because he was a sadistic SOB. He'd never tell you what was being done, just have a peer around inside and before you could say 'HELP!' the bugger would be in there yanking teeth out. I've only ever had 2 teeth out, so you can imagine when he got stuck in it was scary stuff. The sod ended up putting a knee on my chest.

He retired, and the new dentist (at a different practice) couldn't have been more different. Talked all the way through, telling you what he'd found and what he was doing, and even if it was just for a scrape and polish, a world away from the way Sweeney Todd used to do. God alone knows why I stuck with the sadist for so long.

Currently recovering from a molar extraction on Tuesday.

My dentist must be sick of the sight of me, I went to see him 6 times last year with my problematic wisdom tooth, an x-ray and two fillings later I still have half the problems I had before, minus the excruciating nerve pain

One of my must vivid memories of the dentist, is when being man handled by the dentist, who was trying to knock me out with gas ( olden days) my mum stepped in and lamped him! Fast forward 35 years and now it's a breeze, no pain what so ever.

I think my generation were scarred for life by the 'school' dentist.

I think my dentist is an anti-ecig froot loop but still. He's good with me and good with my teeth. I just don't like seeing him in a health centres because as I have said many times before

too many medics spoil the broth (medical students please note! also note medical students if you don't bake on placements you FAIL!. It's an EU directive )
