For the kraken it's fine to start with a dual 1.5 ohm build (0.75 ohm total). This chucks out good vapour and flavour while drawing 6A, which is comfortable even on 10A red efests.
A simple build to get you started is to grab the 1.5 ohm prebuilt coils from fasttech and chuck some jap cotton through them. Easy and works reasonably well. It will get you used to building on the RBA before you worry about building your own coils or setting off down the steel rope/wire mesh route. The rope/mesh is a fantastic setup as is vapes great and once set up right you shouldn't need to rewick or recoil until Mr Satan ice skates to work.
There are a plethora of coils to choose from. Dragon, tiger, clapton etc but start as simple as you can. Wind or buy simple coils and install them and wick with jap cotton as a starter then experiment once you are used to doing this simple build.

I have to agree with *-SARIN-* - a year ago, if you wanted a good sub-ohm build you went to a mechanical mod. These days, with the versatility of a box mod, you have so much more flexibility, you can use whatever you want on top, with any build fro 0.5ohm to 2 ohm and above, and they will all fire, with the added protection for shorts and low ohm builds. A mechanical mod is great, don't get me wrong, but if you want to futureproof yourself, go box mod every time.

Im sort of pulled between the two i might look into the box mods ive seen a few nice ones but also i like the simplicity of the mech. Mods once you get used to using them tbh i might try both. over the next few weeks ill purchase both types then
