Yesterday I had a Yodel delivery, my new lawn mower, the stupid man put it on a broken slab on my wall then cleared off after I had signed for it. Came out and picked up the huge heavy box and the bloody slab fell right on my foot,I was so shocked I couldn't scream, the pain was horrendous, poured with blood, and here am I with a box to take into the house which would make anyone huff and puff. I had to call my daughter, she came down with her enormous 1st aid kit and I had my foot in a bowl of warm water which was blood red, suffice to say she did the deed and expertly dealt with it. I can't put my slipper or shoes on and it is making my bottom and legs ache with trying to walk on the heel. Had to do an emergency net shop for delivery tomorrow and my Granddaughter ( no 3) volunteered to walk my dog after school until I am fit and able, bless her. Daughter is cooking me some meals for the freezer as I can't stand long enough to be cooking in the kitchen. I was having such a lovely day caring for my 3 year old Great Grandson whilst Granddaughter(no 2) was at college, he couldn't go to nursery as he has conjunctivitis. Don't you just hate it when you are incapacitated and have so many things you want to do?

Definitely go to doctors or a&e. No good being a hero if foot is broken. Get it checked at the very least!

Ouch, bet you said "Gosh that was a tad painful".
Joking apart get someone to take you to a&e for an xray. An untreated break can wreak havoc later, I know because I was that Pillock to cut a long story short I needed to have my leg rebroken and have damaged my knee which will need replacing at some time.

Big hug for you (((((( Phoenix . ))))) I once dropped (part of) a brick wall on the top of my foot - boy did it hurt I did get it checked out & there were no bones broken but some ligament damage. To help me get around, while it healed, I put a firm piece of sponge underneath my foot & attached it with crepe bandaged to form a cushion to walk on

Ouch! One way of getting the family to wait on you hand, foot & damaged big toe! Enjoy the pampering, but hope you're soon moving around more easily.
