Yeah, I'm thinking some such mysterious thing has happened Nicky . . . don't know why it would though. I've phoned a friend and they're going to come round and look at it tomorrow.
Hoping it may mend itself overnight though.

Plenty of hot water as it's been on all day, so at least it won't be a freezing cold shower in the morning! Got me little halogen heater on now.

If it's a Glowworm, open the front and the ignition button should be on the left.
You will need to press in and turn the control knob ant-clockwise whilst you ignite it.

If it's already lit, you may need a new thermo-couple or other technical part, so can't be much use from here, sorry

I worry about ours too, it's 23 years old and they don't make parts for it any more. They're bound to pack up when the heating's doing overtime as it's freezing, s*d's bl@@dy law. You'll have to have loads of hot drinks Perpy. Have you got a snuggle blanket?

Oh no perpy, that's all you need.
Hopefully it'll start working again. However, probably best get it checked over regardless.

I changed a thermo-couple twice. (2 different boilers) That was when I was young enough to think I couldn't possibly blow myself up..
I'd rather be cold now than mess with gas...
